Please do NOT use my art without my permission! --> Story <-- The red sun sank beneath the horizon, under the stinking mud and the soft, quiet river. A cat sat beneath the fading light, listening to the wind rustling the leaves. Firetail sighed as he watched the last ray of sun slip away. He lowered his head and stared across the river. Had Embersnake kitted yet? Redstar didn't like the idea of him staying in RiverClan with her, but he liked to hope. Maybe she'll come back across the river with them, he thought, with hope. A bit of him missed her, missed Birdflower, missed Ravenblink, missed Spottedleaf and her apprentice, Sunpaw. What he'd give to see them one more time. But no, he couldn't afford sympathy or sadness. He sat back up. Tigerclaw would come to get him soon, to bring him to the Place of No Stars. "My heart is cold," He muttered into the darkness. No, he thought. My heart is lost. --> Part 2 <-- Oakheart nudged the golden cat, who was nearly as big as him. He and Sunpaw were going to the Moonstone. Sunpaw was going to receive his medicine cat name, after long moons of proving himself. Oakheart, however, was going because his brother had died in the fire that ravaged the forest, and he was the next leader. Crookedstar, he thought with a pang. I will try my best to lead them. His brother's life had never been easy, and Oakheart knew his brother had anger inside of him. But he had also had kindness, and they had been best friends. Spottedleaf had taken badly again after being attacked by ThunderClan's former leader and couldn't make the journey to Mothermouth, her body racked by coughing spasms and infection. He grinned at the apprentice. "Ready?" "Of course," Sunpaw flashed a smile. They leapt into the bushes, starting their journey before the moon could rise. --> Part 3 <-- Deadface snarled and lashed his tail. The dark gloom and bone-chilling breeze never left this forest, never left him. He was being haunted in this place. But he was dead and had nothing to fear. He was the strong one here. He turned to a small brown she-cat beside him, her face laced with scars. "Go find them. I'm sick of waiting." She nodded and started to turn around when Deadface lifted a claw. "Wait," He said. She paused. "Any sign of that StarClan spy?" He inquired. "No sir," the she-cat replied, and she raced off into the forest. He sat, thinking. He had known that cat, remembered watching them in ThunderClan. Who was it? A name was forming in his mind when his thoughts were interrupted by three cats walking into the clearing. "Ah, Redstar," he said, clearing his throat and lifting his sharp gaze. "I thought you'd never arrive."
