Instructions

Press any key or click the screen to switch slides! This is my first "official" art dump, so let me know what you think! (Maybe I'll add more in the future) *means I used a pose reference sheet Maybe this will inspire you to try out new mediums! (The digital painting program I use is Firealpaca, mainly because it's the best free program I can find)

Description

1. "The Golden Goddesses" This one I drew using scratch vector (this one I was particularly proud of) 2. "Fierce Deity Link" This was my first watercolor portrait! I admit it was a bit ambitious to add three undertones on my first one, but I like how it turned out. 3. "Botw Link" I used a reference from Pinterest (maybe you all noticed) and used ink pens on a stretched canvas. (Gahh and ofc scratch butchered it) 4. "The Champion Urbosa" I also drew this one on Scratch Vector. I spent a lot less time on it than the goddesses one, but I still like how it turned out. 5. "The Blood Moon" This one was purely off of imagination (*happy music*) :D. For this piece I used acrylic paints. I don't paint much, but I was particularly proud of this one for some reason, so I might keep it up :) 6. "Heroes of Hyrule" From left to right: Botw, LttP, OoT/MM, TP, and SS. Lol, obviously this one took the shortest. My only regret is that I didn't have room for Toon Link :( I used colored pencils, and for the outline I used ink pens. The quote at the bottom is from the Hero of Time in TP. 7. "Bittersweet Good-bye" This is my second watercolor portrait! I made it just a little under a month after my Fierce Deity Link piece. I didn't use a reference, hence the awkward proportions of Marin's face. Plus the water looks blocky, but I still enjoyed the overall composition and the process of painting it. 8. "No Words Left" My third watercolor portrait! This one's of True Form Midna. This one actually took me the longest to paint (abt. 4 days) and is probably one of my favorites! 9. "You can do it!!!!!!" Two renditions of Prince Sidon from Breath of the Wild! On the left is digital and on the right I used watercolor and ink. Plus I finally learned a thing or two about color theory, so I enjoyed the coloring process a lot better! 10. "Wind Waker - Tetra" Tetra's always been my favorite Zelda incarnation and I love her character design! The background was inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa (obviously). 11. "Vaati - MC" I don't know why, but I've always loved Vaati's design. This was my first time officially fleshing it out digitally! 12. "Masked in Shadows" - My first piece to ever fully-render with a more "realistic" approach. I was really proud of the eyes. I also love painting Young Link as a subject! 13. "The Hero's Shade - TP" Another watercolor portrait. I was actually aiming for a warmer hue, but the blue/green vibe ended up bringing out the red highlights. This is also my first time adding a moon to the background. 14. "Link and Dark Link" - This is my first time painting straight up Link (painting his clothes was annoying). I also included Dark Link because who could pass up the opportunity to include him as well? (Full screen to see this one better - I scanned it with a higher resolution this time so its extra pixel-y on scratch vector T_T) 15. "Link: Tears of the Kingdom" - My most recent digital piece. 16. "Malon at Lon Lon Ranch" - This particular piece was inspired by @Samdoesarts (if y'all know him). 17. "The Lost Woods" - I tried experimenting with different layer and brush modes. I was actually happy with how the lighting situations turned out! Especially with the glow from the fairies. Please love and fave if you liked it, or tell me which one was your favorite! :)
