Lift 2/4 This lift broke recently at 1:56AM in the salt mines. In the early 1950’s, A company (Serenity) that was going to become known as SRB created their main facility in a salt mine. This elevator has existed for almost a century now, as it was one of the first structures built. Every part of this facility to be shut away would still have this elevator able to go to each part of the facility because it was hard to seal off the other parts of the shaft without it collapsing. This was the fate of the 4th elevator that also went to the surface. The first elevator was shut off in the 60’s because it could go to the 3rd shaft of the salt mine which was condemned because it held dangerous machinery that caused accidents before. In the 80’s the first elevator was reactivated because they planned to remove the second door operator and put a wall in its place. The third shaft of the salt mine has been demolished.
