⟹ It is here, the thing that one person asked for :) ⟹ Before you start I'd like to say, this is not a tutorial !! If you think this would help you with character design then by all means you can use the method I do, but keep in mind this is very oversimplified cuz I didn't wanna get into it to much ( a magician must keep their secrets ) ⟹ I go into detail here but there are pictures ( wow !!! ) ⟹ Anyways here's the steps and stuff ⟹ Step 1: Basic Sketch ( and concept art in general ) When I start making a design I do want to know what I'm making, so I'll write things like general focuses and sometimes the palette of the design in an upper corner, then I'll get to the sketch. Note: The reason the sketch is so clean is because I have a hard time have trouble with differentiating what lines stay and what lines are just there to be there ( like base shapes and stuff ) ⟹ Step 2: Still Sketching :D In this part I plan out the patterns, (I forget to do this sometimes thooo,, ) that's about it. ⟹ Step 3: Lineart ! Most time for lineart I just clean up the sketch and make a few ( if any ) changes. I usually do lineart in black, but sometimes if I'm feeling quirky I use ✧*･ﾟ Color ✧*･ﾟ ⟹ Step 4: Coloringgg This is almost always the longest part of the entire process ( especially with intricate designs like this one ) There's a lot of trial and error in the coloring process, because sometimes it doesn't come out like I wanted it too, it doesn't look as good as I though it would, the colors don't match up right, ect, ect. 80% of the time I'm coloring I'll just improvise, and most times when I color things ( especially for trades and whatnot ) I want to make the design look so good I want to keep it, so I know its good quality B) ⟹ Step 5 (The final Step) : Make fancy !!
