EDIT: IT'S THE SAME FOR YUI BUT SHE GOT HER NAME BECAUSE OF ITSUKI AND AKIO- SHE HAD TO CHANGE HER NAME BECAUSE IT WASNT REGISTERED IN THE DATABASE
Yeah. They’re actually Indian, Canadian, and American. Why do they have a Japanese name? Because they had to change their name once they started school since they were from another universe, and the Queen’s sister (who is the mother of Itsuki and Akio, and the aunt of Max and Maxine) who is Japanese chose the names Sayuri and Sakura, with the last name Tsuika. Their names were changed when they were both 5 and they’ve stuck with it ever since. For Yui however, she was given that name by Itsuki since people were looking for someone with her old name (aka my real name) so yeah. Oh yeah also: Indian because parents were born there. Canadian because they have Canadian citizenship American because they were born in USA And they now live in a place in a place in a dif dimension called MoonHill.
