Just another experiment. Each bug has a rudimentary AI. If they're red they're just mooching about trying to find food, the only sense they have is smell, so they are blind and deaf, and honestly their sense of smell is pretty poor too... And they're not very clever! They turn green if they can smell the food and head in that direction, when they do this they give of a pheromone which the other bugs can smell They turn blue if they smell that pheromone and head towards it, and in turn give off another pheromone They turn purple when they smell that one and again head towards it. As they eat the food it reduces and the bugs gain energy. If they don't eat enough they die. Bugs expend energy as they walk around.
