so I realize this topic might be a bit too mature for many scratchers out there, but I feel like I should put this up anyways. I'll start by explaining the piece: It's about police brutality, how racism (prejudice against people of color) heavily dictates many police forces. An african american kid is shot sixteen times because the police 'thought he might have stolen something.' A transgender latina woman is beaten to death in front of her kids because she had a plastic knife in her hand. Too many lives have been taken as a result against racism in the forces. It's awful, and too many people are denying it. The names listed here are just a tiny selection of the poc who have been murdered by police. Ask me for links if you would like to read further!
