(Please read everything.) This is the newest engine I have. (It's also a free remix project if you want to add your own bosses.) Controls: Arrow Keys to move/jump/duck. Space to shoot. (Hold for rapid fire.) D to shoot diagonally. (Hold for rapid fire.) W to shoot upward. (Hold for rapid fire.) Any glitches? I'll try my best to fix them. (Some glitches are caused by lag.) How to change some basic stuff: Boss HP: Change the variable to the desired amount. Boss Hitbox: Reshape the "Boss Hitbox" sprite to the desired shape. Bullet Damage: Change how much the boss takes away from it's own HP to the desired amount. Damage The Hero: Make a sprite that will broadcast "Hurt" to the player and use an "If" statement that says "If Can Get Hurt? = Yes", then put the "Hurt" message inside it. This prevents most glitches. Boss Messages: Change the thing the boss says to the desired message.
Nowadays, I just use this boss base to make any boss battles using other peoples' characters as heroes if they want me to do it for them. Tell me if you want to see yours fight a boss. (Ask politely please, and no already-existing characters / Google images.) If you're going to remix: 1. Please add a different boss. 2. Please give the boss some attacks. 3. Please give credit to me.
