August 31st 2021 marks the 10 year anniversary since my dad introduced me to Scratch, and I'm celebrating it by uploading and sharing my very first project. English title: Dog and Cat at Town Run (Requires a keyboard) This two player game is about who can reach the end of the read faster. Cat controls: Keys ⬅️ and ➡️ Dog controls: Keys A and D Switch between the two keys quickly to move forward. The player who's faster at the keys wins.
I've decided not to touch the sprites and scripts in this version, so bugs and things that look a bit off will stay in. This version isn't the the original made on the day. I made adjustments later on. Last time the project was adjust was February 5th 2012. In the original project there was no "when pressing green flag" scripts, no variables and "if" mechanics preventing players from sticking to one key rather than both, no mechanic making something happen when a player reached the end, and the dog's footsteps had a clapping sound effect. For those who've seen my 4 year anniversary project and noticed a difference in the date, I was inaccurate when I made it. The project which showed the oldest date on a project in my files wasn't from the day itself due to it not saving the date when I made adjustments. I found the actual date by looking up an even that I remember taking place that same day.
