Now I've gone over tidbits of Neon's lore here and there, but I haven't gotten as in depth as I've wanted to with it yet, so here it is. Grab a snack, because this is a (mildly) long one. Neon, as you may know, is not actually human, but rather, a spirit taking on a physical form. Heck Neon is not even from this dimension, rather a whole world of elementals like him exist outside of the world we know (Which for all intensive purposes is the Scratch Equivilent of Earth in this scenario, so while not inhabited by Humans, still inhabited by the OCs of Scratch) (also of note Flare, and others versions that are Neon as a different element don't count as other spirits, they're concepts for if Neon specifically, wasn't electric, not individual beings.) This dimension is called "The Plain of Elements" a world in which elemental spirits roam free, each spirit inheriting an element of their choice at creation. Elemental Spirits are not related to each other in any way, they form from a Void, a blank space, to be filled with both, personality, and their power. Elemental Spirits are able to freely enter and leave the Plain of Elements, however, Neon's a special case. While other Spirits have never stuck around for long before going back. Neon grew attached to this dimension, and wanted to learn more, thus he observed those from this dimension, learning, and even mimicking them at times, he quite literally spent the first couple years as a wandering Spirit, over the years, many were weary to approach him, due to how dangerous he seemed to them, however, from a distance, he learned to speak (or at least make electrical sounds that sound like talking but...eh close enough), read, and write their language, but it wasn't until he wanted to begin talking to those of this dimension that he donned a physical form, all elemental spirits are capable of creating one, as the physical forms are composed of pure magic, but still tangible to those around them. Neon rarely used a physical form at first unless he was trying to interact with this dimension's inhabitants, but over time, he grew attached to it, and it stuck, it's still rare he'll make true friends with how alien they are to everyone else, but he is truly greatful for the friends he has now, and would put everything on the line, just to see them happy. In other words, YOU are the reason Neon enjoys being here, YOU are the reason he's stuck around for so long, YOU are why he cares. Anyway, I think that's gonna be all regarding the story of Neon, not really, a super dramatic or heart wrenching one, just, how he got here and why he has the powers he has, sorry if it was super underwhelming lol, thank you so much if you actually took the time to read all this, I'll catch you in the next one.
