This project uses colour to create animation. The project changes colours from Red to Orange to Yellow to Green to Light Blue to Dark Blue to Purple to Pink and back to Red. The patterns on the cube faces comprise these colours arranged in order next to each other. Each coloured line then appears to move across the stage as colours change to the bordering colours. The project starts in demo mode for 8 seconds, then lets you take control when Colour Change Speed = 3. ----------------------- The <m> key is useful to switch the cube from automatic to manual rotation (and back again). In manual mode you can orient the cube using the <arrow> keys then watch the colours flow around. ----------------------- You can edit the cube faces and make colour patterns for your own animations. The first 4 faces are in order around the cube, then the 5th face is the top and the 6th face is the bottom. In this example the top and bottom faces are Scratch Cat. You can create your own animation patterns by colouring the faces using the colours in vertical order from the editor. * Remix to save your Cube. Note that white, greys and black have no real colour and do not change. This project is a remix of my 3D Cube Editor: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/387252652/ I have improved some code and re-ordered the vertices that make up the faces so that the faces in the editor are in order around the cube.
* Lots to read above to make your own cube. * It would be easier to edit this project to make your own cube: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/555855885/ as it does not have any Scratch Cat faces.
