Welcome to Miner is Nine Months Late :D Okay time to type up my long explanation as to why it took so long to do /half/ a MAP part (not intended as a guilt trip I am fully aware I am irresponsible I should just probably explain myself): So I use my iPad for basically everything, but at some point my primary art method, the Scratch Vector Editor, kind of stopped working properly on there. The longer I was in the editor, the slower it would get, and the harder it was to draw smooth, curved lines, so in order to make good art, I had to keep refreshing. So I moved to Linea, a free art program, and it was terrible for animation- The canvas could only be the size of my screen (which doesn’t properly fit in the Scratch canvas), it had 5 layers max, there’s an annoying watermark, no animation tool whatsoever- It worked for art, but not animation. So after I barely managed to survive getting the sketch WIP out in time, I totally gave up. Timeskip 5 months later, and I got Procreate, which was 50x better! So I tried to do this MAP part, but it was hard because I had little to no clue on how to use Procreate, so I gave up…again XP And then school decided to make my life worse so yeah Around a month ago my motivation came back, and so I asked Checkmate if she was going to unhold the MAP and she did right then- And then I got about half the finished product done… …before my animation motivation left again. (And school got annoying again) And then I randomly got it back today and speedran the other half XD …But I’m not really feeling like doing the other half, especially since it took me like 10 months to get this done, so Check maybe you could open this for a collab to someone more productive than me, just in case I never get around to finishing it? Thank you to anyone who actually read all of that-
@checkmate— Hooray for onion skins, being allowed to make an entire animation in one canvas, being able to upload all of the frames to my device at once, being able to preview the animation at a specified fps (makes coding /easy/), and that I got the intro so I could easily preview my animation in Procreate and listen to the bit of the song it goes with using my music app!
