Shadetuft trotted up to the ledge where Snowstar and Iceflower were sitting. "Everyone's tired. Most have fallen asleep. Troutpool too. You should go speak to him now, before he falls asleep." She said. "Thank you. You should rest too. You've done great." Snowstar replied. Shadetuft nodded. Snowstar stood, and Iceflower padded down to the area where the Clan was. Snowstar approached Troutpool, who was staring off into the distance, at the StormClan border. You could see small patches of ground where the dirt had been stained reddish. "Troutpool. We need to talk." Snowstar said, and Troutpool turned his head to look at her. "I would be mad, but I know they would have all been lost without you." Snowstar said. Troutpool was silent. "In some ways, I understand why you'd want to leave your current Clan for a safer one. That's why we left StormClan. But you know that I'm not Lightningstar. I would sacrifice my life for this Clan. She wouldn't give a mousetail to save her Clanmates." Snowstar said, getting up. "What I'm trying to say is that I forgive you. The only forgiveness you need to win over is Shadetuft's. Good luck." Snowstar said, padding away. "Is that a mud serpent?!" A cat yelled. Snowstar turned her head to see Dewkit pointing at a shape in the distance, slithering towards StormClan Camp. "The swamp flooded enough to let the mud serpents swim in StormClan territory!" A cat shouted. This is it, Snowstar thought. This is the chaos. This is our chance. End of Part Eighteen
