This part by CreateFrog So, not everything is bad about this update. But the things that are bad make studios way harder to use. ScratchTeam, I’d appreciate it if you fixed this! Scroll down for what @pawsdraws says. ————————————————————————— What the literal heck, scratch team. If anyone was unaware, there’s a new update that changed these things. 1. Only the creator of a studio can edit the desc. Meaning, managers can’t edit the studio desc anymore. Say goodbye to manager chats, in desc rps, collaborative studios, etc. this ruined palace of points, which is an insanely cool studio, that is now in disarray. 2. You can’t invite your followers using the ‘followers’ tab. Wow. Thanks, ST. Now nobody but the ST can mass spread news, cool projects, underrated scratchers, etc. this means nobody can invite their followers to fanclubs, updates about their mental health, ask for help, promote OTAs/DTAs/WTAs/Any other kind of contest. You have to type in usernames to invite somebody. 3. 25 reply limit in studios. Why? This is going to make roleplaying almost impossible. 4. They just threw this at us, without asking, giving us no warning. What even is this trash?? First scratch 2.0. Then the update for the muting bots, now this?? What the literal heck?? - - - now onto the rant. ST. I’ve had so many bones to pick w/you in the past, but I’ve kept it to myself. I don’t care if this offends you, but everything you all have done lately has been pointless. Instead of doing things like stopping cyberbullying, art theft, and hater clubs on scratch, you all have been developing this?? I had a friend who was bullied to such an extent they considered deleting their scratch acc, and worse. I had a friend who went to another friend for help with their depression, and they were permanently banned. I have seen 7 cases of cyberbullying on scratch in the last MONTH alone! But did you all do anything about it? We (me + friends/followers) reported their comments, studios, offensive profile, but nope. You did nothing. The scratch community handled it. It didn’t always go well, but you guys did nothing. Just today I got a message from the ST. Here’s what it said. “Please be respectful and use language appropriate for all ages when posting on Scratch. Read the Community Guidelines for more information. Thanks! - Scratch Team Here are some of the comments that led to this message: " Screw this " “ I said that about the update in a studio about this. And if it’s apparently ‘not appropriate’, why can I say it in the filterbot? I think you’re just mad at me for speaking out. You all keep trying to sensor content about this. You removed top remixed otherwise Ranboo’s (@9rainbowtails) project would’ve been on there. Projects about this keep getting deleted. People are getting muted. The hashtag #fixstudios2021 has been blocked, no projects come up when you search it. What are you hoping to accomplish? Nobody asked for any of this. Edit: there was an acc (@fixthestudios2021) and now it doesn’t exist. Scratch Team, we won’t stop. No matter how you try to stop this.
