Use the arrow keys to flip through the art! >w< ➦ Bio: ~~ Ethereal/Aurora ~~ ~ She/her ~ Scared of water, alleycats, and ghosts (until she becomes one herself!) ~ Backstory ~ "Throw her in!" Ethereal was cornered by the alley cats around her. They snarled as they pushed her out of the city. The waves of the ocean crashed on the low ledge. Ethereal stared down into the water, but still kept her balance in hopes of not falling in. She looked down at herself. At her rose. The rose had been given to her from her owner, who became a ghost many years later. It was her owner's farewell present. Ethereal's owner told her to run away to the city; to find a new life. As Ethereal stared into the sea, she wondered if this was the life for her. If she chose the right path. The alley cats started clawing at her tail and eye, and soon she was very injured. It wasn't her fault that they kicked her out. The alley cat surrounded her so that there was no escape, then started pushing her toward the ocean. Ethereal felt pain as she had never felt it before. As she reached the edge, she started desperately clawing at the ledge, tearing up many pieces of grass. She took many deep breaths, trying to escape the pain radiating from her eye. She gasped as she lost hold of the land; and she took one more breath before submerging in the dark waves. Soon, Ethereal was drowning. With the last of her strength, Ethereal grabbed some of her extra fur and pulled it over her eye, creating a bandage. Then she closed her eyes for what she thought to be the last time. When Ethereal opened her eyes again, she was on the doorstep of a very familiar house. It was her home. She got up and dashed inside. Inside her house, she heard tears and yelling. "Ethereal... Ethereal...." Ethereal ran towards the sound, stopping at a mirror nearby. She looked... different. The fur over her eye was dark purple and transparent. Her tail was also made of the substance. "Ethereal..." She continued running and soon saw a human sitting on the floor, crying. Ethereal lay down by the human and purred. Then she sniffed and smelled an even more familiar smell. That human... was /her/ human. Ethereal whispered, "I'm right here." Her owner looked up and gasped. "Ethereal...? Ethereal! You're back! You're... here!" Ethereal snuggled up with her owner and smiled. They were back. ➦ Hehehehe that was fun to write...
