1992 heralded a drastic rebrand for Teilifís Réigiúnach. Wanting the stations to work together more, and inspired by the 1989 ITV Generics, the network executives commisioned the people who designed the aformentioned generics to unify the stations' presentation without losing any of the local flavour. This was accompanied by a rebranding to "TR3", reflecting that the network was now on channel 3 nationwide. This is THS's version. TR3 made the understandable mistake of allowing the individual companies to make their own generics using a style guideline they had laid out, hence why THS's version and TML's version incorporate the station's symbols in the background and retain the local jingles (whereas the other regions didn't).
