ASTRID VÊILÁSE This picture-perfect girl came from nothing. She was born into a small, poor family with a failing farm. Tragically, the family farm shut down, unable to maintain it and make a living off of it. Unable to feed their daughter, her family was forced to put Astrid up for adoption at the age of three. Despite being sent to an orphanage, Astrid worked hard, soon becoming the orphanage’s prized girl. She did well in school, she was affable, she was pretty. Because of her perfect and dutifully character, she was adopted by a rather noble family. Astrid only grew closer to perfection in this environment, though she’s never forget where she came from. She was a only child, surrounded those who have more power, those who are perfect, those who are excepting, those who are all heterosexual. And then Astrid realized she might not be straight, that she was actually be a lesbian. But she always pushed that aside. The perfect girl wasn’t gay. Nobody “perfect” has these divergent feelings. Despite never accepting herself, Astrid became a shaman. She hopes to become a high sage, in the future. Then perhaps she might became to join the Grand Council, like her noble parents. Despite her noble background and her appearance, Astrid is very humble and loves trivia. She knows everything about anything, from how many beetle species live in The Territories, to how many bricks there are in the Vernasephian palace.
