I decided to animate an extremely grand explosion and make it come out of this bomb, styled after the one from "BOWSER's Big Blast" in Mario Party 2, developed by Nintendo and Hudson. (credit to them) The way the explosion takes up the entire screen and flashes rainbow colours was inspired by the explosions from "Rolli und Rita", a series of shorts from a german show by the BBC and Goethe-Institut called "Hallo aus Berlin", but with added smoke and ash after the kaboom clears.
