Symbiosis: The interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, typically to the advantage of both. Ankathi The Ankathi is a Triceratops like creature that lives in the grasslands of Gomaca and Jilan. It's name means 'Thorn head', and it is very well named. Three horns sprout from the top of it's skull; two brow horns and a curved nose horn. Four more spikes protrude from the frill, and two blades appear on the hip. This makes the Ankathi hard to ambush from behind and front, thus making it one of the most dangerous herbivores in Teraminos. Despite this, the Ankathi is a peaceful plant eater. It only grazes on ferns and cycads, using it's sharp beak like shears. The Ankathi has a symbiotic relationship with two other herbivores: the Chamilocanthus and the Epifylaki. When danger approaches, it threatens the enemy with it's massive horns, enough to scare away most predators. If it doesn't work, the Ankathi will charge like a rhino, stabbing it's massive horns into the predator. Young are often preyed upon by the Albainsiidis, the Horridum Terribilus and more. Chamilocanthus The most well armoured herbivore in Teraminos, the small rhino sized Chamilocanthus is one of the most widespread herbivores of the planet. Being covered in tough, fused armour, this animal is definitely not an easy prey. Along it's back is a small sail used to threaten enemies. Beside each side of the sail is a row of sharp spikes, capable of piercing a Baltas' skin. By the end of it's tail is a sharp spike, which it uses to rake the skin of a predator. Having a symbiotic relationship with the Ankathi and the Epifylaki also allows the protection to become even easier. The Chamilocanthus is stuck low to the ground, but it has an exeptionally good sense of smell and hearing. Often it can hear predators the Epifylaki can't see in the undergrowth. On top of it's head is a bright crest, used to attract mates. Epifylaki The Epifylaki is a hadrosaur like creature, which is the Karfia’s closest relative. While the Chamilocanthus is longer than this animal, the Epifylaki is almost as tall as a white rhino and browses on conifers and small trees (The one in the picture is a juvenile). It is only a metre shorter than the Chamilocanthus. Unlike the other animals, the Epifylaki has no obvious defences. Despite having frills, this isn’t used in intimidation of predators due to the frills being too small. However, the animal is almost like a living watchtower, being able to see about 3 kilometres away. This allows it to spot predators a Chamilocanthus can’t smell. It can also rear up to look even higher for predators. Juveniles appear to be extremely curious and playful, even playing with the other species it has its symbiosis with. If it’s spots a predator, the Epifylaki will make a loud warning call thanks to its inflatable crest, used to make noises. This warns the other animals to get into the defensive mode.
These bros balance out the food chain. Why? The previous herbivore balancer, the Karfia, has a lot of predators who can kill it with complete ease. There are also way too many carnivores, all are way too OP. Take the Vithrol for example. It says it eats anything it can outrun, even bigger animals. So yeah. If they are too OP, tell me a way to nerf them
