I know that the song is about being in love with someone who's the same gender as you, then trying to repress it because gay is "abnormal" or smth, bUT HERE ME OUT- I was listening to this song, this part particularly, and it really spoke to the expirience I've had with being trans, specifically always hearing "you are girl"
