This is my entry for the DTA, made on Autodesk Sketchbook. It's the pastel goth cat. Story: Everyone viewed Pastel as a cheerful she-cat. She always stayed optimistic and smiled a lot. Everyone either admired her or envied her "perfect" life. But deep down, she was always anxious and depressed. She was being controlled by her father, behind her mother's and siblings' backs. She had always looked up to her father, and did every favor he asked of her. "Smile." He'd say. And she smiled. "Laugh." She laughed. Soon the favors grew bigger, and she felt that they were getting out of hand. After all, she was nearly full-grown and would be fine on her own. But whenever she tried to protest, he would remind her that he is her father, and daughters must obey their fathers. Pastel could see that her father treated her differently than her sister, Latte, and her brother, Flash. Her mother also had health issues, and would find it hard to breathe at times. So she didn't see how her daughter was treated. Pastel lived behind a mask. Her father's mask. When her mother died, she was left alone with her father and siblings. Then her siblings mysteriously disappeared. At this point, she didn't even know how to think for herself, or make her own decisions. She was so used to being told what to do. A year later, her father died. She was left alone, without knowing how to choose with herself. Her mask shattered, and she showed her true self. Depressed as she was, she still managed to live alone for another month. That was until Scar came along. He was an old, gentle cat, despite his name. She told Scar everything, and he understood. He helped her get through her toughest times. He was like a second father to her. She was able to make her own decisions and show her true self.
