ATTENTION CONTESTANTS: You have until SEPTEMBER FIRST to complete your entries now Gosh, guys, so sorry this took so long, like wow I made you wait practically forever, my deepest, sincerest apologies, I really tried my hardest to get it to you as fast as possible but sometimes these things just don't work out The fact that there is a TAG VIII has driven Peril, like any normal person, to insanity and nutella. (i was gonna redo all the animation in this but i'm lazy so enjoy the low-quality-ness) Anyways, welcome to Chapter 1, if you got in you should already know because I should have already invited you to the studio. If you didn't get in, don't murder me, ok? :D There's always next TAG. I was originally going to put the OCs of all top 16 into this animation, but I had no idea which ones to use for a half of you guys and I couldn't ask because that would've been o b v i o u s so i'll just put you guys in the NEXT chapter OK SO BEFORE YOU LOOK AT THE SCORES, YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW I GRADED THE ENTRIES. First off, I watched through the entry to see if there was any ACTUAL ANIMATION. Having a frame in which the character's arm is down, than having a wait 1 second block, then showing a frame where the character's arm is straight up is NOT ANIMATION, PEOPLE. tHaT's cAllEd a pMv aNd tHat'S nOt wHaT tAg'S lOokInG fOr. Then, if there was animation, I looked closely at it to see how smooth it was. If it wasn't very smooth, I labeled it as "choppy". If it was very smooth, you probably got a high score. After that, I looked at the art and designs, but really the animation matters more to me than the art, so even if you used pretty basic characters, if you animated them nicely, then you probably got a high score. The people who had both stunning art and stunning animation, however, probably got higher than you. Finally, I looked to see if there was any really cool animation effects in your entry, and if you pulled them off well. Things I define as "animation effects" include perspective changes, explosions, motion blurs, and a lot of other things (mostly things I have an extremely hard time doing xD). If your animation had any of these, and if they were done well, I gave you more points, because I classify all these effects as "hard to do well". Make sense? Ok, if you read through all that, the scores are in the link in the first sprite. ;) also, don't accuse me of rushing through the grading process, i've actually been grading the entries throughout the course of the round and have spent the last two days going through them all again to make sure I didn't miss anything
To @Pixelated_Pickax - I'm afraid I made a terrible mistake. You see, I said anybody could use any program to create their entry, but what I didn't realize at the time is that you really can't judge 3D animations against 2D animations. It's like throwing a bunch of kinds of dark chocolate in a pile with a bunch of kinds of white chocolate and judging which is best of the whole group (though white chocolate will always win imo xD). They're sets of their own and I can't put your animation up against, say, @-WaffleLord-'s animation and tell you which is better. They each have their own separate things that they do really well. Also, I have no idea how to judge 3D animations - no idea what to look for - so I can't give you a score out of twenty on your own. hOwevEr, i cAn hOnEstLy sAy, EvEn wIth No KnoWlEdGe oF wHaT 3D aNimAtIons aRe sUppOsEd tO lOok lIkE, that your animation blew my mind. (In a good way.) I'd think it was a gif downloaded off the internet if I didn't know your work (wHich i hAve kNoWn sInCe jOiNing thE MinEcRaFT sTuDiO). So, that said, I hope you can forgive me ;-; I honestly did not expect anyone to throw in the time and devotion it would take to create a 3D TAG entry, and I'm really sorry. --------------------------------------------------------------- Note: Peril and Peril's storyline do not belong to me. I am merely adding on to them. Credits to everybody who has collaborated on the Peril storyline. Peril Recap: So basically, at the beginning of TAG VII, Peril (this crazy evil guy created by @TheVexed who's set on destroying TAG for some reason) received help from Gray Dude (he probably has a name but Idk what it is so Gray Dude works for now), who created a Gray Eyed version of Peril.mod, (Peril's glitchy self-created minion) which was more powerful than any Peril.mod we'd seen so far. Gray Eyed Peril.mod (or Peril NEO) was sent into the TAG headquarters, where it was defeated by @TailsKirbyYoshi205 and @_low_profile_. After defeat, its creators abandoned it, causing Peril NEO to switch sides. Peril and Gray Dude proceeded to send copies of Peril NEO after the three remaining contestants, but they were defeated as well and TAG VII ended. (If I got anything wrong, please let me know) CREDITS Peril's original creator, @mikpik Google Images McDoonald's I borrowed the Peril module model from TKY Minecraft Gravity Falls
