Shadow always was a part of me, ever since I first created him...He went through many changes, such as becoming shiny with one of his redesigns. But...As time went on- I started to feel, connected to my pronouns she/her. And...I started to take time off, to figure myself out more. And...After spending enough time searching for who I was...I found out that I felt Gender-Fluid. At first- I didn't even recognize it- and thought that it meant I'd rather be called he/him...But- after thinking on it more...I learned I was wrong, and when I started to research why I felt the way I did- I saw my answer...Right in Google...I was Gender-Fluid. I was really scared at first...Having it been so long for me to feel comfortable and less stressed, now I had a whole other thing I had to stress over. I...I decided to keep it in and hide it for as long as I could. I started feeling these feelings back in 2019...Yet I didn't know what it meant till 2020, and then in 2021- I couldn't keep hiding it...So I shared how I felt, on June 1, Tuesday, 2021...The first day of Pride Month, where the LGTBQ+ Community was celebrated ...It just- Really lifted a great weight I had been carrying on my shoulders- for 3 whole years. It really helped me feel more stress-free, and I've just been way happier with my new pronouns. But- one thing that still bugged me...Was my Mascot, Shadow The Umbreon. The one I named my scratch profile after, he was...He/Him, Which I didn't like- I was they/them now...and it just didn't stick to me anymore. So, I started making a bunch of different designs for a new mascot, and I finally managed to get one that really felt like me. If some of you know, I recently decided to ask to be called They/Them...Or by my new nickname, Shady. So...I decided to call my new Mascot Shady, they will always have the Gender-Fluid bandana. I'll still keep Shadow, he'll always be one of the fondest OC's I've had- but he'll no longer be my mascot for this, Shady will be. »»————- ✩ ————-«« PLEASE DO NOT STEAL, COPY, OR REMIX ANY OF MY ART!!!
