Master of Ice: His name is Frostheart. Also, the ice being frozen over his eyes was inspired by places so cold you'd go blind if you cried. Apollo: God of Sun. Her tail is supposed to look like a harp. Artemis: Goddess of the moon and hunting. His tail is supposed to look like a bow. Angio: Angiosperm = flowering plant. Her hair tufts are modeled after tulips Mire: Has a lily pad on his head and his ears look like frog ears. I love this design. Snowstrike: Named and designed after a snowshoe hare. Bare Spirit: Bare = Leafbare = Winter, so their name means "Spirit of Winter." I tried to make them look like a gaunt spirit. Hestia: Goddess of the hearth. Also has inspirations from Hephaestus, god of the forge, like her heated metal back and anvil-shaped tail. Pan: God of sheparding. Has pan flute stripes on her tail. Phaneros: I don't know why I named her that. She's supposed to be a forest spirit. I like her pinecone ear tufts. Everest: Supposed to be a mountain spirit. He has a little red gem for a nose! (So cute!) Vallclay: Her tail is designed after a valley I forgot the name of. Horse: Horseshoe crab. Leather: Leatherback sea turtles. Cumulonimbus: A cloud spirit. She's actually based off of cirruses, but cumulonimbus sounds cooler. Crumblystar: Cottonstar's old. Sourtis: French for either bat or mouse, I forgot. I based her off of a bat dunno why Odorpaw: Brownpaw made this character to demean Russetfin, which is why he's a smelly apprentice. Garlandwater: Sort of similar to Gingerpool. She's pink because they're all unnatural colors. Grasshoppercall: Brownpaw is friends with Cricketkit (I think), so he made them a warrior in his playtime. Biteytoe: Frostbite and Mistletoe. Also makes for a funny name. Shimmeringsky: dunno Rosekit, Violetkit, Daisykit, Lilykit: The flowers they're named after are somewhat similar to their namesakes. Littlenose and Seedtuft: They were already named, I just gave them designs. I switched around their colors. Fluffypelt: He's pretty fluffy! Owlowl: An owl is a bird. Also, owls are seen as wise, but Brownpaw does not see Birdbird as wise, so it's pretty silly. Leadfoot: Since Pawpawpaw is so strange with their six legs, Brownpaw gave them magic powers. He also made them look like a bug because six legs. Their name is Leadfoot since it's a metal in alchemy. The white splotch on their head is alchemy symbols. The Green Gharial: Plumflower is big, like a crocodile. She's also related to The Mud Beast (Mudstar), so she has to be related to the swamp somehow. The Flaming Feline: Eveningcloud looks like a flame spirit of some kind. The Sediment Creature: And her mate, Cinderglow, looks like a ground spirit of some kind. Livia: Doves are related to pigeons through the rock dove (Columba livia). His name matches Dovestrike's Columbidae. Mesitornithidae: Named after mesites, which are closely related to doves and pigeons. Her design was based off of sandgrouses, though. The Stalking Croc: Stalkleaf is related to Mudstar and Plumflower, so she had to remsemble a swamp creature of some kind. Crocodiles stalk their prey in the water. Panthera: Bloomnose looks like a lion, therefore Panthera. Toadbelly: Toad = frog = the order Anura. He resembles a poison dart frog, The Bog Beast: Another swamp spirit. His paws transform into swamp goop. Also, my laptop keeps showing me pictures of this design... Lumbricidae: Worms. Lumbricidae is a family of earthworms. Vulpinestar: Lupine means wolf,-like and vulpine means fox-like. Amazon: The Amazon is a river. His paws turn into river water. Asu: Asu is the origin for Asia. I tried to make it kinda resemble Asia. Mousestar: Mice are like rats. Aestas: Aestas is a word for fire in Proto-Italic, apparently? Anyway, since her kits are two ice spirits and a nature spirit, I thought it interesting to turn her into a fire spirit because she's brown. The Solar Flower: Based off of sunflowers. Molenose: Similar to Volesnout. Rhabdornis: A rhabdornis is a type of starling. Kyklos: Based off of the milky way. According to Etymonline, "galaxias kyklos" was an ancestor of the word galaxy. Helianthus: A helianthus is the scientific name of a sunflower. Plantbird: Is similar to Laurelwing. Although she's a WindClan cat, she resembles a plant spirit. Ladybird: Ladybirds are bugs, like butterflies. Caelum: He sort of looks like a thunderstorm already, and he's already a ThunderClan cat, so he is a thunder spirit. Caelum means the heavens or the sky in Latin. Monstrous Medicine Cat: I really love his eyes! He's supposed to resemble a monster (car). Tornado: Cottonstar's leg looks like a tornado, and because she's also from SkyClan, she becomes a wind spirit!
Somnus: Somnus is the Roman personification of sleep. She has a poppy flower on her ear, because poppy seeds make you sleepy in Warriors. Solenopsis: The scientific name of the fire ant. Hornetspark is pretty fiery, her suffix is spark, and ants and hornets are both bugs. Bear: His name comes from the translation of Beowulf's name. He's generally based off of knights and Beowulf, because they slay dragons (or tame them, like with this guy) Guinevere: She's named after King Arthur's wife. However, her design is more based off of Grendel's mother from Beowulf, since she fought against Beowulf.
