This is the audition project for EP 3/4! Here are the rules and characters available to voice. I also reopened animator auditions, so if you are interested in animating for Dragon's Heir, visit this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/433697252/ ==========REMIX RULES======= -Everyone is open to audition! Feel free to try out for any characters. While you can only audition to up to one or two major characters, you can audition for all of the background characters, since they only have 1-2 lines. NOTE: If you were casted as a BG character in a previous episode, you are still able to audition again. If you were casted as a BG character and want to try out for a major one, you can do that as well. -Be willing to commit to a long-term project. Animation takes a while. Episodes take about 1-3 months to complete (rough estimate) from conception, script writing, casting, animation, and compositing. -Your microphone or laptop microphone quality should be good. There should be minimal background noise and/or static sounds when you record your lines. - Don't worry if I don't interact with your project. I tend to leave the audition projects alone until the deadline so I can judge them together instead of when they come in. - Read the requirements of the particular character you want to audition for. This includes the gender, voice range, and personality of the character. - Remix this project and title it: "(Character's Name) Audition". Put in the description why you would like to voice this character. Delete all other costumes in the "your audition here" sprite EXCEPT the character(s) you auditioned for. This is so that I can identify who you are auditioning for. DON'T set the thumbnail to a character that is irrelevant to the character you're auditioning for. This confuses me when I count auditions once I close off the deadline. If you choose a background character, set the thumbnail to the "Background Characters" slide. - Record yourself saying the audition lines. Follow the emotion you are supposed to portray. Refer to the personality of the character (written under their name in the description). Record your lines separately, not together. You are encouraged to put your bloopers in your remix. You are also encouraged to improvise lines as well. - I will contact everyone by June 15th, 2021, when they are selected. There is no limit for how many people can audition for one character. Aurel (male) - Human - Masculine, slightly deeper pitch. Speaks clearly and hesitantly (not shy). - Kind and reserved - any accent Personality: Aurel is reserved, and introverted. He often does his own thing, and keeps to himself. When he warms up to someone, he's quite knowledgeable on history of the Divisions. He has a griffon named Ares. Cas (male) - Human - any gender, stern sounding voice. - formal and defiant - any accent Personality: Cas is stern and defiant. He acts more mature than he needs to be, and feels like he has to prove his worth. He is training to serve as a Diplomat, so he speaks formally and regards others with bluntness. The DragonKeeper - Cloven (goat humanoid) - any gender, any pitch - Enthusiastic - any accent Personality: Appearing in EP3, the DragonKeeper surveys donations for a Guardian Dragon. She gathers the jewels and puts them in it's hoard, and orchestrates prayer for followers of Ismira's faith. She is youthful, and regards the Guardian Dragon with high respect. Ember (human) - Human - feminine, determined - any accent Personality: Appearing in EP4, Ember surveys the well-being of Sasha, the Leader of the Mountain Division. She is a Protector, vowed to guard Sasha. She is confident, and willing to stand her ground for the greater good. Sasha (human) - Human - feminine, bubbly - any accent Personality: Appearing in EP4, Sasha is the Leader for the Mountain Division. Despite her short stature, she wants to be heard within the crowd and tends to be the voice of reason. She speaks with her hands and likes to pace when she speaks. Various Background Characters This includes: - Townspeople - Crowd Cheering All of the background characters do not have specific requirements, so go for it! That's about it! When EP3/4 is out, I will open another casting call for the characters that appear in the next episode.
