The lift is at the Blôrk-Mall. Title : Horridly modded/bodged and vandalized classic late 90’s Schindler M-Series lift ! Credits to Liftwong and everyone. RIP ! Epic and classic 80’s/90’s and sometimes 2000’s Schindler Miconic lift : 1999-2008-2015 (Modded/bodged in 2008, destroyed by a fire in 2015). I thought that is was a very vandalized and badly maintained old lift but turns out, it’s actually a Schindler M-Series from December 1999. In 2008, it was ruined by KCBL-Ivanov. They have replaced the lighting, they have replaced the controller with a very messed up, very bad and dangerous ULCEP one, the chimes and the alarm have been ruined, a blinking « Out of order » sign has been added in the cab and due to the software safety, it moves with the doors opened and there’s a big gap in the cab since it was bodged and ruined and that is very very bad and incredibly dangerous ! The indicator and the lights are also completely messed up ! The door mechanism was also messed up due to the mod, luckily they haven’t replaced the doors with Wittur ! That lift is also very poorly maintained, incredibly badly vandalized as well as the carpark and in 2015, the stupid ULCEP controller catches fire and blows up because of the very explosive and very flammable fluid that contains all of the capacitors of the ULCEP microcontroller. When the capacitor’s liquid explodes, the logic cabinet gets engulfed by the flames. Plus, the cabinet was covered with graffitis as well as the rest of the carpark (The motor room door was unlocked), the graffiti’s paint was also very flammable and the fire spreads very quickly and the as the motor room door was left opened. Nobody was killed, nobody was injured aswell but this poor Schindler Miconic V lift has been turned into ashes ! This lift has been litterally completely burnt like a bill paper ! The interior of the carpark was also very badly damaged by the fire ! The fire hasn’t damaged the building structure which is really really solid (2 layers of bricks, then 1 layer of concrete, 2 another layers of bricks, 1 another layer of concrete and 3 last layers of bricks, the building is from 1970, the lift was added in 1999). All of the cars have luckily been saved by the firefighters that have done a great job ! But the carpark needed a very heavy interior refurbishment due to the fire and the lift gets replaced with a nice Orona ! A 2nd floor was added as the built quality of the structure of this car park building is just so excellent, that building is so well built ! Also, the lift can go out of order itself or if you press the alarm button. When the lift goes out of order, it open it’s doors and the indicator, the « Out of order » sign and the lights stops blinking ! A voice unit also says « Out of order » when it goes out of order and the up chime plays when the down chime plays when it arrives. That bodge mod job was useless and one of the worst bodge mods ever ! At least the lift is still really original and the lift acts in a very similar way as it was original from the very last days before the year 2000 (Commissionned the 06/12/1999).
