Great question! Well, I'll tell you! First, I opened LMMS, thought about a good melody for the drop, used my ZynAddSubFX presets and some of my custom instruments to make it, added some drums using a free Abletunes kick pack and some built-in samples, added sidechaining using a peak controller attached to a muted Triple Oscillator which is linked to a volume control of an amplifier attached to 3 FX channels, and added compression to the bass and lead channels with OTT, then I came up with a generic melody for the beginning and the buildup and worked on that using some instruments from last time including some new custom instruments, made a good transition from the buildup to the drop, extended the drop, then I copied the drop and buildup to make a second drop, changed the melody a little bit, extended the last part to get the whole song over 3 minutes long, added a fade out sound effect for the ending, sprinkled some volume automation here and there for the final touches, exported it as an .mp3 file, made a cover art, and uploaded it to Scratch with a funny name! Yeah, many of you have been asking me how I make my stuff, and I always feel guilty when I don't reply, so there you go lol
This didn't take long at all to make, just only about 2 days, and I rushed the ending, if you can tell, but nevertheless I made this to show an example of how much I've improved in music over the years since I began using LMMS in 2018. Also ZynAddSubFX and OTT are literally the best VSTs in the world if you don't want to spend money on music. I actually prefer ZynAddSubFX over Vital just because ZASFX is so much more simple and easier to understand, and all the presets are 100% free. Update (5/30/2021): I made some slight changes and remastering to the song, hope you don't mind. Made with LMMS 1.3.0 alpha. https://lmms.io/download You are free to use this song for whatever you like, by the way :D
