Instructions

==225 love-its! Thank you for all the support!== If you need playability, then you can mess with the bug. (Not butterfly) - Press D to draw black lines that the bug runs into, E to draw white lines that the bug does not run into, and C to clear. <Read precipitation and radar map to avoid missing out on some cool features! (Scroll down)> PRECIPITATION: Hover mouse over rain gauge to see the precipitation total for the day. (1 second = 15 minutes, 88 seconds = 1 day), and press space for a list of precipitation amounts (in inches) for each day! (And space again to hide it) (Oldest days are at the bottom) RADAR MAP: Press R to display it and H to hide it. (Click on the project screen for it to work) This also means that the way it rains has been reworked. It rains when a storm moves over the location of the simulation. Right now, as it takes a long time to draw, there are three variations of storms, a steady, widespread rain, localized thunderstorms, and a single random thunderstorm. The storms do not appear in the same place every time, so the exact same looking storm may hit one time and miss the next. Different patterns of rain I will try to add soon. This also stops it from raining way too much. It still occurs more often in low pressure. Note that the rain in the simulation is not perfectly synced with the rain on the radar map using R. Monitor the virtual weather in this simulation! Due to randomness, you'll basically never get the same weather graphs twice! It may lag in full screen. Constructive criticism is fine, but any comments saying "its bad" or such will be deleted. If after your comment is deleted you do it again, you'll be reported. Also, make sure to love and favorite. To draw walls for the bug just for fun, press d to use mouse to draw walls. Use d key to use pen mode and e key for erase mode. c to clear. Touch bug with mouse to make it run. The bug moves semi-randomly. Contains weather conditions, pressure, and wind! See it get cloudy! Watch it rain! See the wind blow leaves! (Poor bug, stuck in lightning storms and high winds!) See the pressure and weather change! Don't forget to look at my other projects, the Impossible Quiz 4 and Ball's Cave Adventure! (I have some more, but they're not that great) If you remix, do not direct copy, and please give me credit.

Description

WARNING: TEXT WALL. ==Credits== Everything: 100% @Raindrop57 -Curated by elea0042 (Account no longer exists) - 3/28/15 -What the community is loving - 3/30/15 -Whoa! Just had 75 messages! Most I'd ever had before that was 10! -If you remix, you MUST give credit. ==Notes== -FASTER VERSION OF THIS PROJECT: http://phosphorus.github.io/#53382378 (Note: there is a bug that causes the pressure panel to not show up) -I do read comments, I just do not reply to stuff like "cool". -I did this just for fun at first, but then decided to try to make it an amazing project. If your remix and want to change things, be warned that I'm a very messy coder and so you'll have no clue what does what. -I tried to record rain sounds, but they turned out horrible and would have made the project worse instead of improving it. -Press A to remove the love and favorite banner. You actually read this? Cool! -It's not a glitch that when the wind direction hits the bottom, it goes up to the top. The top means blowing from north and so does the bottom. -I tried adding night, but didn't like it. ==Well, why do the graphs have gaps?== Unfortunately, I have had to make the graphs update less often due to the 300 clone limit. They use a cloning script, and optimally there would have been a total of 369 clones. This resulted in large gaps in the graphs because of this limit, along with the rain not working since it also uses clones. Unfortunately, they now look worse. Sorry. :( ==Bugs== -Rain in simulation is not fully synced with rain on radar map. -The bug may glitch into a rock. -(Fixed) Whoops, you couldn't get weak high pressure systems due to accidental code switch. -The wind direction goes slightly above the top of the graph when the wind switches to out of the North. -Rain from the radar map shows up when it's not being used. It also gets super windy and there is some rainfall when the simulation is started due to a very complicated script involving rainfall on the radar corresponding to rain in the simulation. ==Air Pressure== -How does the pressure work? There's a bunch of different varieties of pressure systems that have a chance of occurring every second if one is not currently occurring. Stronger ones make the pressure rise/fall faster. Low pressure increases the cloudiness and wind, while high pressure decreases the cloudiness and increases the wind. ==Fun Facts== -Believe it or not, this was just a bug crawling around the screen that you could draw walls for it to run into. I added weather because I love weather, and it ended up becoming the main part of the project. -The three things that aren't natural in the picture are an anemometer, rain gauge, and weather vane. The weather vane does not move when the wind is zero. -Work time was at least 24 hours (It took a long time to make the wind and pressure randomly change in ways much like real life, along with getting the butterfly blown by the wind, along with making the wind also change much like real life, etc. Making the radar map takes a LONG time) -There's a 1/30 chance per second of a random thunderstorm every second when the pressure is below 29.4 inches, 1/60 chance for 29.4-29.99, 1/90 chance for 30-30.49, and 0 chance for above that. -I needed to use algebra to get the butterfly to get properly blown by the wind. It took over an hour to get the equation right, even though it looks so simple. -I write too much in this section. ==Wind?== -The wind cannot exceed 205 mph. Even though this is extremely unlikely, I did this so in the rare event the wind does get that high, it doesn't go over the top of the wind graph. The pressure will always stay between 28.5 and 31.25 inches. -The wind picks up during high and low pressure, along with during thunderstorms. ==Wind Direction== -The wind blows out of the west if the pressure is 29.8-30.2 inches. It blows from the north if it's under 29.8 inches and out of the south if it's over 30.2 inches. It also has a 1/200 chance of switching to out of the east per second. An east wind brings rain.
