Featured June 1st Became my most viewed project June 2nd ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I am going to rewrite my paragraph on why you should use the she/her or they/them pronouns when referring to me: Misogyny: dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women. This could be linked to the science world, as STEM is often thought of as a masculine thing. Like in 2017/18, only 35% of students doing core STEM were female. However, this does not mean that you should presume that if something is related to science, it was made by a man. You should instead call the person by they/them pronouns. However, I am female, so you can use she/her. Slang terms like "dude", "bro" or "man" is ok though. Also, some dude said it was to do with my pfp being Bill Cipher, and the only way to respond to that was, of course, making a meme: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/539641287/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the Scratch Week theme 1, I decided to make a simple Rube Goldberg Machine. The reason this fits the theme is simply because Rube Goldberg machines are machines that are overcomplicated, but are designed to perform a simple task. That one sentence can also sum up half of the codes I make on Scratch. This simple Rube Goldberg Machine was designed to turn on a lamp. It was inspired by the diagram in the wikihow for how to make a Rube Goldberg Machine. The steps are as follows: A pendulum swings, hitting a ball. The ball rolls down a ramp, where it falls into a bucket. The bucket then falls down, due to the weight being heavier. This results in a domino being knocked over. The domino then knocks over another domino, which then knocks over another. This third domino pushes a button. The button being pushed results in the lightbulb being turned on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every time someone comments something mean, I report the comment (and you should too). So to the dude who keeps commenting mean things, stop. You are going to get banned if you continue. It made it worse that they found a way to SWEAR in their comments, which isn't allowed ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Source cited: https://www.stemwomen.co.uk/blog/2021/01/women-in-stem-percentages-of-women-in-stem-statistics ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I want someone to remix this with an fnf but bad style remix tbh. so like, it's just a terrible remix in quality. Perhaps some self-recorded sound effects that only use their own voice. Of course, terrible looking sprite costumes. Like, you could look up fnf but bad for inspiration. Or just go to my alt accounts version: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/539827207/ (it uses my voice, so it proves I'm a girl) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the second one: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/540798567/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unrelated but check out my brother's account. He's much better at coding than I am: @PlasmaScope
