Welcome to Block Defense! Survive by defeating waves of enemies as they appear. Play through several different worlds with unique enemies. Create your own levels in the level editor. ("c" to access) THERE ARE CURRENTLY 4 WORLDS (All levels have been tested and beaten) <NOTE: Your progress is kept after clicking the flag> Click to shoot an arrow in the direction you shot (20 energy and 1 damage). Space to attack with your sword in the direction you are facing (30 energy and 3 damage). Arrow keys to dodge arrows shot by archers. Press "2" to swap to fire arrows which do 2x the damage as a normal arrow and are stronger against some enemies. You earn 1 fire arrow for every 3 enemies defeated. ("1" to swap back) Use the arrow keys in the level select screen to swap between worlds. (You can skip worlds at any time but it is recommended to play the worlds in order so you can understand the enemies better.) (You can use "o" to save your game. "L" is to load a game. You can also use "p" to reset your game. {IF YOU EVER ACCIDENTALLY RESET YOUR GAME, YOU CAN GO IN THE CODE AND COPY THE "Save code" LIST. SAVING AT THAT POINT WOULD DELETE YOUR CODE AND SET IT AS THE RESET GAME.}) TIPS: If an enemy has a lot of health, try taking it out at once with multiple arrows. This makes it so you don't have to wait longer so energy can replenish for every arrow shot. Try defeating enemies with abilities first so they don't have time to use them, or don't have as great of an effect. (Ex. Summoner, Archer, Healer, Drain) Save fire arrows for enemies that have more health and don't waste them on enemies with only 1 health remaining. Focus on the strongest enemies so they aren't a threat when they get close. Usually the slower an enemy is, the stronger it is. (This game was actually meant to be just a normal defense game without blocks, but while creating it I left the enemies untextured for testing and never went back to texture them. V1.0.2 will be the main release of the game. V1.0.1: 6/5/2021: World 4 added! Custom levels added: Press "c" at any time on the world map to access the level creator. You can not only see what enemies you have discovered but can click on them to add them to your own level (This only works with discovered enemies). When you have finished creating a level, click "o" to get the code to your level. Use "L" to load a level by entering it's save code. Press "p" to reset your level. World 1: Black=Basic/1HP Light purple=Strong/2HP A stronger basic enemy Pink=Mini/1HP Smaller and harder to hit Light blue=Fast/1HP Moves 3x as fast as normal Green=Fire/3HP Weak to fire and is 1 shot by fire arrows. Blue=Split/2HP/ Turns smaller when hit Purple=Shielded/1HP/ Can only be hit by sword Dark pink=Mystery/?HP/ Turns into a random enemy from above when hit but is destroyed instantly by sword. Gray=Summoner/3HP/ Moves slowly but summons random enemy's every so often. Yellow=Archer/1HP/ Shoots arrows that can only be dodged with the arrow keys. Orange=Strong Archer/2HP/ A stronger archer. Red=Boss/10HP/ Moves as slow as a summoner but has a lot of health. World 2: Yellow+blue outline=Spark/1HP/ A very fast but weak enemy. Lime=Drain/1HP/ Slowly drains your energy. Black+Gray=Tank/3HP/ A very strong basic enemy Pink+white=Click/1HP/ Can only be defeated by being clicked. Green+Red=Heal/1HP/ Heals all enemies by 1 HP every so often but also moves very slow. (Enemies flash white when they were healed) Dark red+Orange=Strong Fire/5HP/ A stronger fire enemy that also moves slower. Is still 1 shot by fire arrows. Magenta+purple=Magic/3HP/ Will randomly change into a different enemy which also restores its health and changes it's speed. Make sure you don't forget which enemy's are magic. Gray+White=Strong summoner/5HP/ A strong version of the summoner and summons World 2 enemies instead. Tan+black=Tank Archer/3HP/ A very strong archer. Black+red=Strong boss/20HP/ A very strong boss enemy. World 3: Black+Purple+Red question mark=Concealed/?HP/ A random enemy that is hidden so it can't be identified. Turns into the enemy it was briefly after defeated. Purple+Pink=Teleport/3HP/ Randomly teleports to a place with the opposite X-axis, Y-axis, or both. White=Ghost/1HP/ Turns invisible halfway across the screen. If you got hit by nothing, it was a ghost you lost track of. Yellow+cyan=Fast Archer/1HP/ An archer that shoots much faster than normal archers. Red+Yellow=Micro/1HP/ A much smaller mini enemy. Brown+"Arrow"=Dodge/1HP/ The only way to defeat them is by dodging out of the way in the direction shown on them or by using a fire arrow. White+Black dots=Dice/2-6HP/ A timed enemy that has it's HP determined by when you hit it the first time with an arrow. (The first hit only works with arrows) Dark purple+Black Circle=Void/3HP/ Causes all enemy's on screen to turn black so you can't identify them. Can be very dangerous when with dodge enemies. Dark red+Red=Demon/3HP/ Gets faster every time it is hit. Sword only does 2 damage instead of 3. ???=30HP/ Slowest enemy in the game. World 4: |Temperature|: You start at 50 degrees and lose if the temperature gets below 0 or above 100. Temperature increases when there are no enemies on screen that lower/increase temperature. Shooting a fire arrow increases temperature for however long it travels. (Max temperature is 50 in World 4) Dark blue+light blue=Frost/3HP/ 1 shot by fire arrows and lowers temperature by 1 every second. Gift/1HP/ Releases 3 random enemies when defeated. Coal/3HP/ Drains energy and becomes faster the more energy it drains. It drains less energy the more it takes and increases temperature the faster it moves. When defeated it returns the energy it has drained (Increased by a bit). Fire arrows cause it to go faster but also increase the temperature when hit. Light blue+Dark blue+Turquoise outline=Frozen/10HP/ A stronger frost enemy. Lowers temperature 2X as fast but also moves slower. Turns into a frost when hit with a fire arrow. Turquoise=Haunted/1HP/ Will randomly go invisible like a and reappear. It can not be hit while invisible. Very light blue+Turquoise=Dry ice/1HP/ Lowers temperature by 10 when defeated and Freezes all enemies on screen for 3 seconds. This also turns all frost enemies into a frozen. Ice mystery/1HP/ Lowers the temperature by 5-15 when defeated. Gray+Light blue=Frozen summoner/5HP/ 1 Shot by fire arrows and summons a random world 4 enemy. Light blue+Yellow+White outline=Frozen archer/3HP/ 1 Shot by fire arrows and shoots ice arrows instead of normal. Lowers the temp for every second it travels but is less effective than fire arrows. Lowers temp by 10 if player is hit. Frost King/30HP/ Lowers temperature by 1 every second and freezes enemies on screen when spawned. Also summons frost enemies. Weak to fire arrows and does 3 damage when hit by one instead of 2.
