Instructions

Sev: I'll use Moe for them and Sev for my responses. Moe: Triggers are something that are related with trauma and hard times that you want to forget completely, triggers aren't just dislikes or phobias. Most of the triggers I saw in drbc are just phobias, example: blood, syringes, heights, exc. People don't know the difference between triggers and phobias. Phobias are something you're scared of, triggers are way more than that. Sev: Some of the triggers that may look like phobias are actually linked to trauma. Also, some phobias are serious enough to cause severe negative reactions or panic attacks. Moe: I just find it dumb that people with triggers want to limit others and police their sentences and think that their "triggers" are more important than anything else. Sev: The reason the DRBC respects triggers is because we respect each other and want people to feel welcome and safe. Not because everyone wants the world to revolve around their problems. Maybe people would like you more if you respected their triggers too. Moe: Also the fact the studio revolves around a specific franchise and their triggers are characters from that franchise, if they are triggered about that character, then why stay there? If you really hate a character that much, then leave. Sev: It is true that staying in a fandom that has a triggering character for you is not always a good choice. But the DRBC isn't just about Danganronpa, it's about friendships too. There are a lot of people who are there because it's because it's where they like to talk to people. Moe: I find it really annoying that people can't mention whatever they want without the "cw" or "tw", it gives them less freedom to have fun and talk about whatever they want. Sev: What would make people have less fun is if everyone was constantly having panic attacks and nobody felt safe! If you can't talk with people at all, isn't that less fun than having to put TW: [topic] before your sentences? Moe: To be honest, I would just take out the triggers in drbc and then the toxic people so the studio would be a better place to talk in, right now they just bully people and think they are above everyone else when all they are is just a bunch of 13 year olds, though there's some who actually has common sense but 90 % of the studio is full of toxic people. Sev: Yes, there are toxic people. There are toxic people in every sufficiently large community. But, you're the toxic person now for invalidating triggers and insulting people. Also, what does the existence of toxic people have to do with triggers? Moe: Okay that's all of my moe rants today, thanks for tuning in! Sev: The problem here seems to be that you're missing the point. Not every trigger has to make sense, and that's fine. Posting about how invalid you think triggers are is far more hurtful than keeping that doubt to yourself and putting TWs anyway. I hope that everyone, such as you, the toxic people you mentioned, and anyone else, can learn respect some day, and maybe then you will get positive response. Thank you for tuning in! -Sevii
