The water was so deep and he couldn't breathe- Just as he thought that he would never surface from the river, he felt fresh air on his muzzle. Something grabbed him and dragged him onto the bank. He turned around. Redstar released him, huffing. He shook out his pelt. "I thought the fire got you," Redstar meowed. Firetail remembered what had happened. On the way to the gathering, Embersnake had seen something in the bushes, and went to go find it. She ended up finding a fire, and the gathering group ran for the camp, which they found deserted. They ran to the river, with the fire close behind. Firetail looked over at Ravenblink and Embersnake. They could have died. And Birdflower. He shook his head, and tried to locate where he was. "I smell ThunderClan," Sandstorm announced from a few tail-lengths away. "We're just above RiverClan territory, but all I smell is ash," Embersnake added. "Well, we can't risk getting lost or burned tonight. Let's sleep here and find the rest of the Clan in the morning," Tigerclaw tapped the stone with his claw. Firetail nodded.
