Snowstar awoke in a forest. The trunks of the trees around her were dark shades of purple and blue. The starlight illuminated the forest, making every purple or blue leaf seem to glow. Cats slowly padded out of the trees to meet her. They formed a small circle. All the cats were recognizable. She saw her mother, her adoptive mother, her adoptive sister, and so many of her fallen clanmates. She saw Rockstar. "You died out there, didn't you? I knew you were being foolish. I hope you see that I was right." Snowstar said, staring at him, annoyed. "I really thought we were going to make it! I swear that I didn't mean for us to be there that long!" He said, flustered. "Where?" Snowstar asked, a sternness in her voice that a queen might use for a misbehaving kit. "...StormClan territory." He admitted. "What?! You took your newly-founded Clan on to enemy territory? How mouse-brained can you be?" She exclaimed. "I'm sorry! I thought we'd just be there while we were passing through, but we were attacked by a mud serpent and had to stop so Troutpool could heal the wounded. I didn't think we'd end up spending the night there!" He said defensively. "So what happened when they found you?" Snowstar asked. "We were found by the dawn patrol, who attacked us without any questions asked. One ran to get Lightningstar, who brought a few more Warriors, including her deputy, Vinestripe." He went on. "I explained the situation, but Lightningstar shook her head and lunged at me. I could hear Vinestripe telling her that she didn't need to kill anyone, but Lightningstar took my life anyways. In my last breaths I could hear her say, 'Anyone else want to challenge my authority? Anyone think they can trespass on my territory? Anyone think they can stop me? Now, all you trespassers will either join my clan, and be totally loyal, or you will die. If you betray StormClan, you will be executed. Do you understand?' A few cats said yes, but then one cat, I think it was Mintmoss, said no. A strong, loud no. Lightingstar whipped around to face her. I saw Mintmoss, along with a few others, standing fearlessly side by side, and then it all went dark. Then I woke up here. I have yet to see any of RockClan in StarClan yet. I don't know what's happened to them. I hope they're okay." Rockstar told her. Snowstar wasn't sure what to say. She knew that Lightningstar needed to be stopped, but how? How could she stop such a powerful cat with so many warriors? She looked at the StarClan cats. "Can you help me? Can you tell me something, anything, that can help?" She asked them. They sat silently, their faces showing no emotions at all. Only one cat had any expression or said anything. "I- I don't think they can." Rockstar said, his eyes darting nervously around as if he might be punished for talking. "What do you mean you can't? That's ridiculous! You have to be able to tell me something!" Snowstar hissed. "They probably can, I just don't think they're choosing to." Rockstar said uncertainly. "But- but why? She turned angrily to the cats. "You won't tell me anything?! Don't you want this to end?" She screeched. "You're my ancestors! My clanmates! My family! My friends! My- my mother..." Snowstar stared at her mother, tears welling up in her eyes. "Mother..." Snowstar's mother still had an emotionless expression. She did say something. "Take advantage of the chaos." Then Snowstar woke up. It was early morning, and Toadstone was waiting patiently for Snowstar to wake up. "Good morning." Toadstone said. "I thought maybe you'd want somebody to tell you what had happened last night after you left." He said. "What happened?" Snowstar asked. "Some of RockClan has returned." End of Part Sixteen

I usually like to leave the chapters at cliffhangers, but this one is not as cliffhanger-y as usual. Oh well. Aaaaa it's been too long between chapters again! Sorry, I'm trying to keep all my series going, but it's getting hard with all this school stuff. Hope this is fine! I'm going to try to focus more on my series than other things on scratch!
