It's an awful thing, terrible, life-threatening at times. Victims are left wondering "What happened? What did I do to deserve this?" Bullies mostly don't even realize they're doing it until something happens that serves (or should serve) as a wake up call. Bullying. It leaves people physically and emotionally weak, but when bystanders take action, the weak victim can become strong. Bystanders: Stand up and speak out against the bully! Victim: Know you're not alone. Bullies: Change for the better _________________________________________________________ My story: I've been bullied nearly all my life. Started really bad in 3rd grade. I thought it'd ended this year but now it's started up again. Rocks, whispering, rumors, comments, slaps, shoves, lost items, pain, suffering, torture. I've endured it all. Sleepless nights. Done that. Hating school/waking up in the morning. Been there, am there. It's like a terrible nightmare you can't escape no matter how hard you try, and when you finally do wake up the damage has already been done and you're left traumatized. Bullying is death. Literally. It started my anxiety and depression and the more it happens, the worse it gets. No matter how much I wish, dream, and pray, NOTHING'S CHANGED. It's actually WORSE! More and more people are deserting me, ignoring me, deflecting my cries for help. I guess that won't change any time soon.
