The pain was temporary, but it felt like it was forever until it went away. "There. You're one of us now, Charlie." The messed-up fur-covered (lol furry) faces of the failed experiments and their creepy eyes stared at him in newly-found respect. Ever since they found him laying with no memory on the side of the road, the decided to take him in. After all, they needed a plan for revenge. ----- Prismane just stared at the destroyed pieces in shock. "I'm really sorry," Shoko said, hoping he wouldn't get mad at her. "It was an accident." Prismane took a deep breath. "I guess it kinda was for the best. Terrible things happened there, and my parents wouldn't care about me if I'd won the lottery." He looked down. "But many innocent people were working there. I mean you could've just-" Suddenly, a group of freaky-looking creatures that looked kind of like cats- and a human who Prismane wished he didn't recognize - approached them. "You!" Shoko shouted at the blue and red one that appeared to be the leader. "You're the reason that I tripped and knocked over the chemicals! If it wasn't for you, lots of people would be alive right now!" "Innocent? Is that what you call people who experiment on living things and then throw them into the woods to die?" Opal yelled back. "They did that to me. To all of us." She motioned to all the catlike creatures around her. "Even your little green-haired pal betrayed his own friend multiple times just for science." "H-how do you know about that?" Prismane said. "We keep records for this sort of thing. So we can find more to join our cause." Opal explained. "Your... cause?" Shoko said. "For what?" "For REVENGE!" When Opal said that, the entire group started to close in on them. The human boy went past the crowd and in front of Prismane. "And you. Making me do your dirty work for you so you could have love. And then wiping my memory and yours, so your 'girlfriend' would never know about what you did." Charlie looked him in the eye. "But now we both have our memories back, and green hair." "How did you even remember?" Prismane asked. "I swear I thought I did it right-" "The failed experiments over here have a certain way to restore memories." He said. "And now you're gonna pay for all you did." ------ sussy amogus imposter omg that was a lot of writing (Arlo's perspective) I looked out onto the stars, flying by in my dad's old spaceship. I was too scared to tell him about my new and improved powers, and what Prismane did to me. I hope I never see Earth ever again. I sighed as I looked at the tiny little planets far away. Then I heard a loud crash. "Uh oh, we might experience some turbulence along the way," my dad said. "Don't worry, probably just an engine malfunction or somethng-" Another crash. I bumped from my seat onto the metal wall. "What was that?" I asked. "Sounds like something broke." "Not sure," replied my dad. He fiddled with the controls. He probably has no idea what he's doing. I looked out the window again. I thought about how stupid it all was, how stupid I was to trust Prismane and how stupid he was to think I would just go along with it again. It all just made me feel so.... terrible. The next thing I knew, stars were gathering on my hands. I couldn't control it, all the firey balls shot out and crashed into the spaceship. "Hey what's happening back there-" my dad asked, but the stars were shooting into the engine and when I finally got a hold of my powers, the ship was blasting right back to where we came.
