@-nerdanimator- 's speech : ST, Please dont take this down; this is a recommendation to help the scratch community change and the message to all scratchers for equality. — (I’ve been wanting to do this my whole scratch life xD) *aHeM* First of all, I wanna cover about fame and being famous. Scratch, Imagine, Program, Share; a place where young kids all around the world; programming your own interactive stories, your own games, and animations; share your creations with others in the online community, and remix them. Scratch helps young people learn to think CREATIVITY , reason SYSTEMATICALLY, and work COLLABORATIVELY. However, most Scratchers only think about fame and popularity; I mean- how is it important? Years ago, scratch wasn’t like it was now, it was kid-friendly and a great website for young kids.. Now- it became worse: SCRATCH IS NOT ABOUT FAME. Ever heard, “Imagine, Program, share, and fame”? No. I get it, I understand that you guys want attention and people looking at the stuff that you worked hard on. nerdanimator's friend @Rae-TV recently had introduced a series called, “SIASM” (Scratch Isn’t A Social Media). He is right, scratch is not a social media- scratch is not a YouTube, Facebook, or even TIK TOK. Scratch is not about how many views you HAVE or how many messages or followers. Just- stop thinking about fame; it’s USELESS and POINTLESS. What’s MY EXPERIENCE of having and getting fame? What is it like HAVING and GETTING FAME? To say this simply, Its horrible and awful. You may ask, HOW? Haha, I know, you haven’t experienced it yet. Getting and having fame is horrible because whatever you do, people just take it SERIOUSLY, FALSE REPORT IT, and the WHOLE community knows; wherever you go, people FOLLOW you (Its EXTREMELY creepy and annoying). Anyways, the most worse part about being famous is people begging you for more content, scratchers SPAMMING, Asking for Follow 4 Follow (F4F), Getting TOO MUCH HATE, people STEALING your own belongings (Pfp, Art, and OC) WITHOUT credit, and Links/Advertising. Look, just stop begging for more animations and content. I have a LIFE OUTSIDE SCRATCH and I do not have time for scratch all the time. Back to the claim, Just- stop chasing clout (Fame) and just stick with your current progress. Why does scratch have to add the followers? Tbh, I wanna be a NORMAL scratcher again :/ All of you that is thinking, “Nerd is fame hungry” and stuff like that- its not true. I was here on Scratch to make friends (which I dont have much irl), share my animation/art skills around scratch, and learn to code. Scratch is becoming a very ‘fame-hungry’ and ‘toxic’ place; I’m permanently QUITTING scratch soon in a YEAR or so, and moving on to Youtube uwu (and NO, I do not CURRENTLY have a YOUTUBE Channel, also, NO. I AM NOT LEAVING.) — Next, I’m going to cover EQUALITY (scratch and in the outside world; such as #BLM and #StopAsianHate). Most small scratchers with less than 1000 followers and have good and underrated projects aren’t noticed well and they aren’t treated well. Some tiny scratchers with less than 100 followers Don't get treated nicely and good either. Some scratchers make MAPS (Multiple Animators Project) have barely anyone to join them . . . Only famous scratchers get people to join. I think its unfair :/ FROM NOW ON, Every FRIDAY (American Time) I will love random projects around scratch from small scratchers. When I see an open MAP, I will love it for people to join. (PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE YOUR PROJECT OR MAP, THANKS). Now talking about the outside world . . . Ive heard many horrific things happening outside scratch.. Black Lives Matter (BLM), and Stop Asian Hate (SAH).. I think that everyone should be treated equal. We are all the same; we are human beings. We are all born to be equal, no matter what race, sexuality, color of your skin, and religion. I don’t care if you are Muslim, Christian, Catholic, Buddhism, Chinese, Asian, European, African, Indian, Mexican, Poor, Rich, Gay, or Straight. We are born equal, so we should be TREATED EQUALLY. - Nerd 2021 <3 — Credits: @-NerdAnimator- for art, font, thumbnail, speech, and code. Thank you for listening, I greatly appreciate it <3 Say “hello! :)” To a random someone/scratcher you never met and make their day <3
