[Note: I rant a lot here, it's not long but still. Press the buttons to see animations/ scrapped animations] Vent below this: i feel like i've been told (by family mind you-) that i can't animate. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR TWO. AND. HALF. Y E A R S. it practically wreaked my confidence and self-esteem to hear that from people who haven't even touched animation tho my father's oil paintings are really good, he doesn't do them much anymore though. so, the person i looked up to (art wise) told me (and i quote) "You can't win." to put that into context, i was talking about looking for a screened drawing tablet (or an iPad with a pen) to animate better, and then the conversation switched to the animation meme contest CloudKid hosted recently. The "Loser Meme" contest is the one i was talking about, and as soon as "you can't win" was said i felt my motivation and overall self-esteem drop like a rock in water. i just- i can't put it into words- it hurts man, it stings. i'm not sure if i should even try to prove my dad wrong, and don't be mad at him, he was just being serious at the time but he's a great person in general. anyways, i'll just be sad trying to think of what to do. i understand animating take so long to get good at, but when i actually try and put in the hours it can come out pretty good (in my opinion.) anyways, i have a few animations you can view, most of them vent and practice. bye.
