(sorry @_low_profile_ accidentally deleted your comment) Lil story-- my mom and I went out shopping and as we were parking we saw a tiny kitten on the sidewalk-- there were a lot of cars around so I went and picked it up- we had a small cardboard box from one of the stores and I put it inside the box with a towel to keep it warm (shown in one of the pics) so we took him home and gave him a bath, then we found that he had a lot of fleas and gave him another bath in rubbing alcohol to get rid of them (it worked though he wasn't very happy being soaked in alcohol) then we gave him some milk and tuna and he was happy. As I'm writing this he's currently peacefully asleep in his box. We can't keep him so we're planning to bring him to a shelter tomorrow, one that will care for him as much as we do <3 Update 4/30/2021 Yesterday we contacted a shelter to see if they could take the kitten. They said that all their space was already taken up because it was 'kitten season'. So he got to stay an extra night. All went well. We gave him one more alcohol bath and found not a single flea in his fur. He had a lot when we found him and now he's free. He also purred for the first time yesterday and always purrs when he sees me, occasionally kneading my jeans too. He's gotten increasingly active and playful since we bathed him, and is eating and drinking well. He's in love with the tuna we feed him and always meows loudly when I bring it until I set it down, then he purrs so much I swear he could be radioactive. Today may be the day he is brought to an animal rescue center and able to find a family that is able to care for him. I will miss him dearly, and I hope he remembers me. Update 5/1/2021 The kitten has been delivered to a foster family that takes in kittens until the nearby shelter has room for them. He is now at the shelter, may soon be adopted and will live a full, happy life.
