Meaning of life One day a group of friends very successful in their careers, got to visit their old university professor. After a while, the conversation turned into complaints all about stress and work in life. The professor, noticing the grumbles, asked if his guest would like a cup of coffee. They agreed, and the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and a variety of cups. Porcelain, glass, crystal, and some plain looking, some expensive, and some exquisite. He held them to help yourself to the coffee. When all of the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said “Did you notice, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones? While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves? That is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee, in most cases, it’s just more expensive, and in some cases, it even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted coffee, not the cup. But you consciously went for the best cups, and then began fighting over the cups. Consider this guys, life is the coffee, the jobs, money, the position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. And the type of cup we have does not define nor change the quality of life we live. And by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. See the happiest persons don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they make the best of everything. Live simply, love generously, speak kindly, care deeply, enjoy your coffee :D”
