Species Name: Dolhund Name Meaning: Dol (Dark, no known language) Hund (dog, German) General Appearance: Dolhunds appear as large canines, they commonly stand at four to five feet. Most resemble wolves, but unlike wolves, they hold their heads above their shoulders and are much lankier. Most Dolhunds have mystical or even technological features that can be natural as well as synthetic. Behavior: The species is animalistic as well as intelligent. Their dewclaws are opposable and their paws are extremely flexible. They can make clothing, technology, items, and structures as long as it's practical for survival or everyday life. They tend not to have extra items unless they highly fancy extras. Culture: No Open Abilities: Elements (common ones such as fire, water, earth (rock), weak mawttouch (acts like a poison or venom, mawttouch is an oil that will leave a grey burn-like wound and is fatal of it enters the heart or brain. The oil kills plants immediately if touched). Breeds: Common (most resembles forest and tame canines); Anu (resembles jackals, pharaoh hounds, and other Egyptian canines. Anu have a higher chance of one being born with weak mawttouch); Thoth (This breed is most likely to be winged, some even resemble birds of prey); Mawt ([Closed] can resemble any canine, but they are larger and live much, much longer. Most are immortal. They age very slowly, to the maturity of eleven in thousands or even millions of years.) Habitat/Region: They can thrive anywhere, but most prefer the temperate and neutral habitats of forests and woodland, very few live in the desert or extreme cold. Government: Monarchy used to rule Dolhunds, but since the fall of Dol, no single leader has been set due to the scattered remainder of the species. Strengths: Dolhunds are both physically and mentally strong, their instincts play a huge role in their survival. Some can practice their abilities to make them stronger, though most tend to avoid using them. There's a strength and weakness for every hund (water elementals may be excellent swimmers and could hold their breath for a long time underwater, or even have gills. On the contrary, fire hunds will be able to thrive in harsh heats with minimal water over days on end.) Weaknesses: Unless a fire hund is present, most Dolhunds tend to stay away from extreme heat and flames, even controlled fires. They also can't survive in the arctic temperatures unless they have some way for regulating their body temperature and to keep themselves from freezing. Weaknesses ultimately depends on the ability(ies). Lifespan: Dolhunds use human time increments, except that common hunds can live up to two hundred. Limited/Closed Abilities: Immortality, strong elements (darkness, light, electricity, flora and/or fauna, illusion, etc.) Banned Abilities (because they can be over-powered): Time, space, reality, etc. Extra: Feel free to make up your own traits and abilities! Base is being worked on! Dolhunds are my own idea and are a SEMI-OPEN species. Common Traits (free to use!): Wings on back (feathered or bat), Wings on wrists (bat or feathered, quadrupedal), any common abilities. Must ask to use!: Two pairs of wings, Cerberus heads (three), Three pairs of eyes, ears, limbs, tails, etc. Wyvern wings (bipedal but not anthro), strong abilities (common but stronger, or branches of common elements [aka. earth= Metal]), lifespan (over 200 to 900), Closed Traits (must buy from me! I won't accept currency): Mawt breed, 3+ pairs of wings, hydra heads (over three), over three pairs of eyes, limbs, tails, etc. Anthro/furry (Since the species isn't a furry species). Closed abilities, multiple elemental abilities, lifespan into the thousands.
