Instructions

It's been about a month. I wake up this morning to see everything I normally do. Being the kid I am, my room is still a mess. But I don't really care. I've just developed something saying I'm ok with a mess. I get up to grab my tablet and just lay in bed for the next half hour or so. First thing I do is log on to scratch, see if I have any comments. I haven't gone in the Scratch Hangout for so long. I've pretty much just jumped on by my laptop or my tablet. I wanted to stay off for a while, due to my tests. I had about 8 messages. 6 of them were studio activity. Which, I've came to be ok with. They tend to just pop up at night, so like I care. April 27th, 2021. The last day of my break. Awesome. I come to the realization that... I need to go back to the Scratch Hangout. Hug everyone that I see. Well, most of my friends I mean. Sadly, I can't hug Catty. For two reasons: 1. Super duper famous friend is always busy, but somehow gets time for you anyways 2. She's also on a month long break. I search to see if my orange wristband was still hidden in the same spot it was before. I always hid it, because I didn't want anyone to grab it and hide it somewhere else. "Yes!" I fist pump the air as I see my very-saturated orange wristband. What only I and many others knew was that... this was the key to the hangout. I remember looking in the forums, just seeing topic after topic asking "How 2 get to Scartch Hangout??" and "I lost my orange wristband, is there another way to the hangout?" I feel bad for the people who've forgot how to activate the wristbands, or even those who lost it in the abyss of their house. The wristbands can conduct a lot of power. They're technically unsafe. Magic terms, at least. The most powerful spell/thing it does is transport you to the hangout and back. Nothing is more dangerous than that. Luckily, these things have been tested plenty of times. Well, no duh they've been tested, but they've been tested to be one of the safest things now. To the point where even parents want one for other places. My parents really didn't care. As long as I was safe, right? I glance down again to the wristband and it's glory. No buttons, just a orange slap band, technically. I put it on, and it's holographic screen turns on. PLEASE ENTER PASSWORD BELOW: ********************** Cool, my password is in still. I hit "sign in", to see a new message. Hey Crazibot, Your wristband needs major updates. You're on version 1.3 while everyone else is on 3.3. We suggest you update. Sincerely, I decided not the read the rest. Probably just says Scratch Team or something. Well dang, these things have been through some big updates. I wonder why it didn't just update itself. After going into settings, I hit "all updates", like I would for a Windows device. Now, to wait. ... I'm going to get breakfast. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I come back from eating some good breakfast. Yum. I glance over to the skinny not-a-watch and see that it has succeeded in updating itself. Gently picking up the watch, the version number says "3.3". Perfect. I hit some random buttons to see a blue, yes, not a purple one, a blue portal in front of my most likely gray eyes. "New portal color. Nice," I comment. Being the idiot I am, I jump through the portal with no second thought in the world. If you didn't know me well enough, you would of thought I was the craziest person alive. Not the good Crazi, the bad Crazy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- After what felt like a year of sea-sickness, I arrive at the glorious white room. Yes, white. Well, actually, it's a like a very light gray but who cares. I feel my left arm is my robotic one, along with my cheek being made of metal. I'm so glad I forgot to edit Onyx's neck wires. First thing I see. Aidan just vibing on his profile. Before I interact with him, I checked my projects. Looks like my mute project is doing fine. I warp to the project when Aidan noticed me. "YAY YOURE BAAAAAAACK" He yells before squeezing the air out of me. "Hey, be careful, I still got online class-" I tell him. After what also felt like years, he lets go of me from his bear hug. I look over to where Catty's profile would be. We all relocated our profiles near each other's so we can always spy on our profile comments. You know, like what friends do. Catty's comments were flooding, I tell you. Flooding. About 12000 messages. That's more than I've ever gotten in my two years of Scratch, and that's saying a lot. "Catty's gotta deal with a ton of messages when she gets back." I comment to Aidan, who's pretty much zoned out until I said something. He glances over to see Catty's very-much flooded comment section. "Uh, yeah." I chuckle. "I hope I didn't miss anything." He shrugged and looked to the side. "Not much. Nothing much has happened." "Cool," I sigh. "It's great to be back again."

Description

Word Count: 903 Words Woohoo! First day back and I'm kicking it off with something Scratch Hangout Related. It's good to be back! This short-story is a sequel to https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406064470/ Q&A, I guess: Q: What happened to the series? A: I paused/cancelled it due to a lot of drama with my friends. Why make a series about my friends when I don't even know how to view them? (We're all good now btw... I think...) Q: What the heck happened to Onyx's arm? A: The same thing that happened to her face. Q: Would you continue the series if you were given the option? A: Flip a coin, maybe. I honestly don't know.
