Description

IF IT IS BROKEN: Go to https://turbowarp.org/521510562/editor and then go to fullscreen ---------------------------------------------------- Its here... My ever first full-season animation The 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season is the costliest tropical cyclone season on record, with combined damages that exceeded $290 billion dollars, more than the rest of the seasons from 2010-2019 combined. The season was active but not extremely active in named storms, with 18 of them. However, ACE values from the season were over 200. The death toll from this season was extreme, primarily due to Hurricane Maria which killed over 3000 in Dominica and Puerto Rico In late August, Hurricane Harvey struck south Texas as a category 4, the first major hurricane landfall in nearly 12 years. After that, Harvey stalled near Houston, dumping over 60 inches of rain, and becoming the costliest storm on record when unadjusted for inflation. As Harvey dissipated, Irma tracked through the main development region. The storm struck several of the islands to the east of Puerto Rico as an extreme category 5. Fortunately, The storm barely avoided a direct hit over Puerto Rico, which kept damage on the island minimal. Irma struck the southern Bahamas as a category 4 and then made landfall in Cuba as a category 5. Still a major hurricane, Irma struck Florida, causing tremendous damage across the state. As Irma tracked through the Caribbean, Katia formed off the coast of Mexico and Jose formed to the east of the US virgin islands. Katia struck Mexico as a category 1 after peaking as a category 2, causing some damage there, and Jose peaked as a high end category 4, luckily staying just far enough to bring only minimal impacts to areas that were destroyed by Hurricane Irma. After that, Hurricane Maria formed near Barbados and rapidly intensified. The storm struck the small island of Dominica as a category 5 hurricane. The storm caused 1.37 billion dollars on the island, which is over twice the the county's GDP. After tearing through Dominica, the storm struck Puerto Rico, still as a category 5. The storm left the entire island. The storm caused the worst power crisis in United States history, and some people didn't get power back until late 2018, over an year after the storm. The result of this power crisis was beyond words, and over 2500 people died. After Maria dissipated, heavy rainfall caused major flooding in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and the flooding is one of the worst in Costa Rica's history. The system which caused the flooding eventually became hurricane Nate, which struck Louisiana and Mississippi as a category 1, although impacts were limited. After that, Hurricane Ophelia became a category 3 near the Azores. The storm became extratropical and struck the UK, still producing hurricane force winds. The storm caused widespread impacts across that country I hope you enjoy my animation! -------------------------------------------- #Hurricane #TropicalStorm #TropicalCyclone #Cyclone #Weather #Meteorology #Animations #HurricaneSeason #2017HurricaneSeason #HurricaneHarvey #HurricaneIrma #HurricaneMaria #HurricaneNate
