Prolouge- Criminal- Scarlet was just a regular girl with red eyes to most people. But most people didn't know what she was; a monster. Of course, she wasn't actually a monster, well, not technically. Most people call her a shapeshifter. No. Also incorrect. Although, she does sometimes play with the minds of her innocent victims, or friends, by telling them she was a vampire. With her abnormally large canines and pale skin, it was easy to pass as a vampire. Very easy. The truth was, she was an alien who had evolved over time to mimic a human form whilst still minorly displaying her alien features. She usually uses her alien form on heists and assinations. That way, she could easily transform into an innocent Seventeen-Year-Old in a matter of nacho seconds. This gave her great advantages.... Chapter One- Simply- Scarlet was walking around the halls of Mythical High. She liked to be alone. Looking for a dark hallway to hide in, she couldn't help but overhear a nearby conversation. Thorn and Isla. Again. As Scarlet walked by, she noticed something hanging out of Thorn's pocket. Her Raider! A raider is a sort of futuristic device that does a virtual scan of your surrounds and tells you where something is and if anything is moving. It's the reason she survived her last mission. Scarlet smirked, she could use this to her advantage. "Hey...Thorn?" Scarlet asked innocently. "What?" Thorn asked immediatly, spinning around to face her. "Oh...nothing. I'm just looking for my...Raider, perhaps you've seen it somewhere. I need it for my next mission," She said. It was always amusing to her when she tricked people. "Why?" Thorn asked. "You see, if I don't find it, I can't go and if I don't go, we can't uncover the script," Scarlet said in a tone of pity. The script was an ancient scroll with an imbedded message inside. It had gone missing for a million years and finding it again would be a literal miracle. She was sure this would get Thorn to feel guilty this way. "Well, good luck looking," Thorn said. He had always been tough to trick but still, Scarlet could trick anyone. Scarlet grinned to herself and quickly swiped the Raider from Thorn's pocket. She waved it in his face. "Hm, what's this?" She asked. "...Goodbye," Thorn said, feeling awkward. Scarlet smiled and walked off. She took great pleasure in doing things like this. Chapter 2- Secrets- It was twilight. Scarlet was in her dorm. She was sitting at her desk, wearing silver-framed glasses with a grey tint. Blueprints and and notepads were scattered across the desk; Scarlet was calculating x axis and y axis on a piece of paper. Anyone who knew Scarlet would think this was normal. It wasn't. This was simply planning for her next mission. A dangerous mission. Someone knocked on her door. Quickly, Scarlet pushed everything off her desk and pulled open the door. A relief was that it was only Isla, a childhood friend. "What?" Scarlet asked, "You know I have to leave soon," Isla smiled and nodded. "Of course you do. But I'm worried about coming back," "Yes?" "You know they are expecting you and your going without asking your mentor. That isn't safe," Isla snapped. "I know how to fight," Scarlet said without care, getting anxious about the time. "But you don't know what they are like." "The same evils that destroyed the crystal, I don't get why I should listen to you anyway. After all, it'll be easier if I leave now," Scarlet said. She was now pushing stuff into her coat pockets and not even paying attention to Isla. She hated being told that she can't handle something. She hated safety. Little was she aware of what Isla was about to do. Just as she turned around, it was too late. Isla was gone and she had stole the door key, locking Scarlet inside. Chapter 3- Skydiving- Scarlet sighed. Seriously? Locking the door? Scarlet grinned to herself, remembering Isla had never been the best at thinking complex plans through quickly. Scarlet simply opened the winder and jumped out, falling rapidly through the air. She couldn't survive a fall without water. And there was no water. Scarlet sighed, staying perfectly calm. Half way down the drop, she grabbed onto a curtail, blowing out of someone's window. She now had to plan her next move. There was a tree nearby but it was five metres away. It was the only option. Scarlet gathered her courage and jumped. Her hands touched the tree, slipping off in no time. Scarlet was once again falling through the air. Everything went black. -Chapter 4- It's not that complicated- A thousand miles away, a shadowed figure was clinging onto a black van, only visible if you were to shine a torch on them. As the van passed through security, the figure jumped off the van and ran inside the pure grey concrete building. They ran straight into the centre and took their hood down. Still, they were unrecognizable in the darkness. The anonymous figure smiled to theirself happily, acciedently stepping into an overhanging light. Scarlet?
