When she was two moons old, her mother took her to the forest because Rock, her brother, was very sick. ThunderClan chased them out, k!ll!ng their mother. Hazel was left hunting for Rock. She knew that without help he'd die soon, so reluctantly she took him to WindClan, hoping they'd take him in. WindClan offered her a home but she refused. Promising to come back for Rock, she left.
