Estimates by me may differ from official reports - Hurricane Epsilon might be my favorite storm of all time. Why? Although it had poor convection, its structural symmetry was amazing. The storm also had perfect banding an eye features. Even better, it peaked during the daytime when we could see visible imagery, and to sum it all up, its impacts were very minimal!! The storm started off as a low in the Atlantic to the east of Bermuda. The storm became tropical and rapidly intensified (which was against just about every forecast) and became a category 3. The storm then rapidly weakened back to a category 1 and brought some gusty winds to Bermuda, becoming the third storm of the season to bring tropical storm force winds to the island.
