Recap: We met a young girl named Maria who lives on Windfall island. She discovered a talking boat named the King of Red Lions. She also met a boy by the name of Link. Together, they're looking for a sail. A shop owner asked them to save somebody who he says didn't steal anything. They've found a pictograph stolen by a strange man named Tingle. Will they be able to find a sail? Will they find the owner of the pictograph? Let's find out...
"We should return it to the person he stole it from!" Maria said. "Ok, but we should get the sail first." Link replied. "Oh alright..." She said as she crawled back to the entrance. They went out of the cell and back to the shop where the man was waiting for them to return. "Did you rescue him?" He asked. "We did-" said Link, but soon he was interrupted by an angry Maria. "You lied to us! He actually stole the pictograph, but you made us free a prisoner who should've stayed in prison!" "Shh! Shh! Don't get me in trouble! How about I give you it for 100 rupees?" He said nervously. "100 rupees! You expect me to pay you for making us do such a thing?!" Maria replied. "Ok, ok! How about 30? Just please don't get me in trouble!" He said. "Fine..." Maria replied. She handed over 30 rupees and got a sail. "So are you done yelling at the shop keeper? I know it was wrong of him to do that, but it's already done so relax." Link said. "I know, I know... It was wrong of me to yell at him...It's just so upsetting..At least we have a sail. I know you have a boat, but where do you need to go?" Maria replied. "I need to go to the Forsaken Fortress to save my sister from Ganon." Link said. "May I come with you? I can try to be as much help as possible! It would be dangerous to go alone." said Maria. "It would be just as dangerous to bring you along too. You don't even have a weapon or a shield...How will you protect yourself?" he said. "I'm sure you can protect me. If not, I can buy a sword and a shield. You'll have to teach me how to use them though...I'm not much of a fighter. To be honest with you, I just want to explore....To see what's beyond this island." said Maria. "Alright, if you can find a sword and a shield, I'll let you come along. Just try not to get hurt." Link replied. "Ok! Thank you so much!" Maria said happily. She then ran off to purchase a sword and a shield. She came back with a huge grin on her face. "I'm back! Look at these! I didn't really expect to find swords here, but luckily I found these!" Maria exclaimed. "Great!" Link said, "Won't your parents be worried? You should've asked, but you could just say goodbye before we leave." "Oh I already told them. They said to live my dreams and explore around the world!" Maria said with a big smile, "Now let's get going- Oh I forgot! You have to teach me how to use these!" She took out her sword and shield. "Ok so first of all. You hold your sword in your dominant hand. Your shield will be held in the other hand." Link replied. She did as he said and held the sword in her right hand and shield on the left. "Now to do a simple slash just do this!..." After a few minutes of training, she finally got it. "Hyah!" Maria said as she swung her sword at Link. He blocked the attack with his shield. "Ha!" said Link as he attacked Maria. The attack was then blocked by her shield. "You're getting good! Now, don't be afraid to attack enemies or monsters ok?" He said. "Alright! I'll try my best!" said Maria full of excitement, "And now~ Let's start this adventure to save your sister!" She was so excited that she forgot all about the pictograph...
