This is a short art/animation project made for SDS (Scratch Design Studio). This one is based around the current theme of "colorless". You can check out the studio here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/29275132/ All effects except for one are created with the same sprite using clones and some math. Due to the way it is programmed, the project is not affected by turbo mode or Scratch emulators. Music is "The Upside Down" from Stranger Things. It has been cut so that you don't hear the weird creepy part in the end that added an emotion that I did not want to portray in this project. ================================ If you have a good eye, you can see the weird lines that appear across the screen. If this bothers you, I'm sorry, but this is something I can't control. This has to do with how colors work on a computer. A computer can only show 256^3 (or 16777216) colors. This seems like a lot, right? Well, grayscale colors only make up 256 of those colors. When a project is entirely in grayscale and uses gradients, "banding" occurs because there aren't enough colors to have a smooth transition (https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colour_banding). Also, you may notice a bit of the Moiré effect (https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moir%C3%A9_pattern) where these gradients intersect. ================================ Project tags: #art #animation #sds
