Instructions

In 1970, the ITA was to give the licence for a new independent television channel in the UK to new company Origin Pictures. This were be known simply as Channel Four and launched on the 6th of September, 1972. It would use a symbol made up of multi-coloured circles affectionately known as the Target. This specific variant was to be retired in late 1979 and replaced with a more calming rendition.
