City facts 10. This is the Clifton suspension bridge, one of the oldest bridges in the UK with a nice nightsky view in the background. Bristol also has docks that have two bridge known as the Sevens bridges that crosses the Bristol channel that borders between England and Wales. 9. Look to the left of the Liverpool skyline You can see the famous Liver Building and Liverpool cathedral. This was taken from New Brighton just across the river mersey from Liverpool harbour. 8. This was taken from Calton Hill, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and has always been since the 15th century also Edinburgh is the biggest financial centre in the United Kingdom after London. 7. In the middle of the picture you can see the Beetham Tower which was used as a inspiration for the Citadel Tower in Half Life 2. Also if you look just left of the tower you can see the Manchester Town Hall. Also has 2 European popular football teams that we all know and some love. Manchester City and Manchester United, 6. This is the City hall of Bradford at night at the Bradford City park. Bradford City hall is a old Venetian Gothic building built in 1873 that contains 13 bells that ring every 15 minutes. 5. Sheffield is a city that has a river called the "River Sheaf" The city has lots of medieval history behind it and a castle known as "Sheiffeld castle" that was built to help Sheffield develop into a small town even smaller then the city centre and it is a now a small dazzling Metropolis in South Yorkshire at the Northern part of England. 4. Glasgow is one of the largest seaports in the UK and the largest city in Scotland just 46 miles by driving from it's capital city "Edinburgh" Glasgow was one of the cites known as the "Secound City of the Empire" at the end of the 19th century. 3. The name Leeds derives from "Loidis" which was also the name that was to a name of a forest covering most of the Brythonic kingdom of "Elmet" that existed back in the 5th to 7th century. 2. Birmingham is a city in West Midlands has a canal that goes through the city and it is the most populous city outside of London and has the second tallest BT tower just right of the church spire in the foreground. 1. London is the 5th richest city in the world and is a world wide destination with popular buildings like Big Ben,Buckingham Palace,London Eye,The Shard and many more! London is also the city where the very first time zone was made in Greenwich, every other time zone in the world is based of the Grenwhich Meantime time zone. The river thames goes through London and ends at the sea bordering between Essex and Kent and there are also docks that go to Holland and Denmark.
