I tried to play it cool, as if I was staring at the wall behind him, but I had no idea if it was working. I don't even know what I'm supposed to get from this. It's not like I'm even looking at his face! Just the back of his head! I must look so stupid. What will people think when they see me gawking at some guy's hair. Oh, the hair-- "Ollie!" I almost jumped out of my seat when I heard my name resonate in the room. Who was calling me? I searched for the voice, just as the snappy tone demanded again. "Ollie!" The source was an old, haggy woman with a raged death-look on her face. Beads of sweat started to form as I felt the whole class staring at me with their careless eyes. I looked at the whiteboard, showing letters scribbled in black marker. It showed: y = mx + b. What did that mean? "Answer this, Ollie! Get those clouds out of your head!" The lady growled. What was I going to do? Tired, I got up and solved the problem. Or at least tried to. But luckily my best friend, Nia, blurted out the answer so I was able to sit back down. Moving forward to the end of the day, Nia left without me. “Again?" I mumbled as I started texting death threats to her, when suddenly, I tripped. "Well this is it" I thought. "The day where I suffer and then roll on the streets and die." But then- someone caught me? Finally, I got a good look at the person, and it was Noah! “Are you all right?” he said, catching me as I fell, making my mind number than butter. All I could say was, “Yeah..” My heart was throbbing and I was just about to blurt out something stupid like, “Kiss me,” but my mind intervened and I just got up, waved, and said something like a mix of “thanks” and “bye” as I ran to the treehouse me and my friends made. I know it sounds childish, but it's a treehouse with a little bed and everything. It’s really cozy! When I got there, I was as red as a tomato. What Nia saw me, she asked, “What’s wrong?” And me— still flustered —replied with, “Ugh, I don't even know. Nothing's wrong, but-- aughhh." I stuff my face into my hands. I can't take it. Flashes of Noah's face when he caught me keep swirling in my head. My cheeks are burning! "Woah, Ollie! What's happening? Are you ok??" "Yeah yeah, don't worry, Nia, I'm fine." I slowly lift my head out of my hands and smile sheepishly. "..Ok then, " she says, rolling her eyes. As it got late, we all split up and said our good-byes, and left the treehouse. I could feel that I finally wasn't so red. As I was walking home, it started to rain. "Well, that makes sense. The world had to make up for the one good thing that went right today!" I mumbled. And I still couldn't stop thinking about Noah. The way he caught me; it was almost like a romantic movie scene. I could feel myself getting red again just at the thought. I finally got home and realized, I DIDN'T HAVE MY BACKPACK!!! Crap! It had all my important stuff in it!!! My sketchbook, my schoolwork, and the spare inhaler that I was supposed to give my sister! As I rushed back to the school to find it, someone stopped me. "Woah! You cant run around out here! You might get sick! Do you want to come in for something to eat?" At first, I was startled because I didn't know who it was, but I was relieved when I saw that it was Nia's mom. She looked as if she had been on a walk or something. She was dressed in a large windbreaker, however, while I was in a t-shirt and sweatpants. "Uh, no, sorry. I left my backpack at school, and I have to go find it," She looked slightly disappointed, as if she was really looking forward to me coming in. "Is Nia home yet?" "Oh! Yes, she just got here. I'll tell her you said hi." "Alright, thanks! Bye!" I waved as I started to jog back to the school. "Bye, Ollie!” (Continued in notes + credits)

As I reached the school, I banged on the doors, then pressed the button with a speaker next to it. "Hello! How can I help you?" a voice said from the speaker. "Uh hi, I left my backpack here, it should still be in my classroom." I stuttered. "Ok! I'll open the doors for you!" A lady came and pushed a door open, a smile on her face. "Oh Ollie, you really have to do this all the time?" She said with a sigh. “Sorry Ms. Michelle" I said sheepishly. "It's fine, just please, remember to grab it.” she said.
